Totally outplayed em' first half , 1 nil up and what does our negative manager instruct to the players, defend your lead for 45 mins. Impossible to do against a decent team, and at 1-1 we attack again. Radio interview afterwards and he is so happy with 1 point and keeps saying well it was Nottingham Forest and we are down to the bare bones. Yes we are because of You and your poor management, pathetic attitude from our man in charge.

As usual talking ****. Forest had two lumps upfront in the first half which offered nothing. Second half they had two nippy strikers which we simply could not match.

I am sick of your pathetic attidtude too. Do you really support Southend? We never hear from you when were doing well and as soon as we fail to smash Forest you are on here moaning.

TBH, is Ferguson or any top manager there for thier soundbites..nope, they are there for producing the best out of thier players at any given time, to achieve restults. I personally wouldnt care if Tilly said 'wibble' all through his interviews, as long as we have a successful team.

I was very surprised with Forest. Expected them to be a far better side than they turned out to be on the night.

Definately a case of two points dropped as I thought that they were there for the taking to be honest.

We needed to get the 2nd goal as Forest were always gonna have a good spell in the game and that happened when Tyson came on and changed the game, we finished the stronger side though and I thought we were a bit unlucky not to win in the end.

We didn't change our approach at half time - Forest did. They went 4-4-2 and we struggled to get to grips with the change giving Tyson in particular the sort of space that you can't give to players of that ability.

I don't think Tilly told the players to sit back and defend the lead. If anything the impression I get on watching this Southend side is that Tilly gives them very little in the way of tactical instructions. He trusts his players to play the game as they see fit.

If thats the case he shouldnt be managing !

The only tactic tilly got wrong last night, was, telling black to come inside and defend then when we have the ball go wide, this left their full back with all the space in the world to operate in down the left, leaving francis to mark 2 men, this dragged clarke and barrett across and left thornhill with an easy finish when barrett should have been marking him. They had chances before the goal through this.

It took tilly 30 mins of the second to realise this, if we would have changed our system to suit we would have got 3 points which the lads deserved, especially moose!!

Well done blue voice, best we been for a while singing wise!

The thing that changed the game was they had quicker players on and the wind behind them and they were then working the channels far better dinking balls over our fullbacks.

The decision Tilson should have made was to tell our defenders to run much faster, or to turn the wind down a bit.

Not at all, all over them till some magic negative words from Tilson. They were nothing, but to listen to Tilson you would have thought it was the European cup winners we were playing. To get that 1st goal and then sit back just about sums up his management skills, the only reaction i want is a positive one from our manager when we are in pole position!

And to listen to you anyone would of thought we should be winning the European cup!! Your expectations are far too high and unrealistic. When we dont win and play well you starting moaning on here. I agree we did drop too deep for the first 15 mins in the second half but there's no need to blow your top. I wouldnt mind it if you pointed out positives aswell. Good job Tilson doesnt have the same negativity as you do as that would transfer to the players and we would be getting stuffed every week.

Totally agreed here, the fact that the wind swirl aided us in the first half it was quite obvious the 2nd half would end up in Forest's favour too.
And as for those people who wanted the moose off how would we have turned defence into attack, the young lad can deliver quality balls and prooved beyond a doubt he is going to be Maher's replacement, sure he got lost in the wind assited ball in the air midfield battle and our lack of height gave that too Forest.

Although I do agree that Tilly leaves his subs too late, just who was there to bring on to change our game answer= NO ONE

When we beat Forest last time Eastwood was sitting on the bench.

However he should have replaced Black with Grant earlier then Tyson would not have been able to make those left wing runs.
