you prove how clueless you are once again, the introduction of tyson changed the 2nd half last night, they played the ball into the channels and he ran on to it very quickly, this was an outlet for them that stopped us dominating, whereas they hat fat aggogo in the 1st half who was cack which let our defenders play the ball out and start attacking moves, instead of chasing a s*** hot quick striker in the 2nd, did you miss the Gower chance, mad scramble and walker nearly scoring in the 2nd half, we still could have won the game

We let them dominate, they scored and then it was all us. Same pattern every week, even against teams like Cheltenham and Luton. We have the exact opposite mentality as Man U, they go for the jugular and we invite an equaliser!

We definitely have been guilty of what Wiggy says in some games this year. But not against Luton (that was just a bad performance, not a defensive one) and not against Forest (they changed their players and style and we just couldn't cope with it).

My god, we have drawn with Forest at home, in difficult conditions, and Tilly sounds like a bit of a pr*t in radio interviews - lets sack him now, bring back Wignall !!
We are sitting nicely in the table, yes we dominated the first half and if we had Barnard we may have nicked a couple (Barnard out fyi was not Tillys fault). Secind half , if the away team are decent, and a goal behind, nine times out of ten they come out the trap door quicker, and if you have bought on a player of Tysons calibre this makes this job easier. The only thing that let Tilly down , was that Grant was not bought on sooner to plug the obvious gap down their left hand side - yes this lead to the goal, but then at the end Gower could have grabbed the winner and we had another hacked off the line !!
Also who cares what Tilson sounds like on the radio, he team talks in the dressing room seem to have been ok.
- first 'bit/part' season safety & LDV final
- second season, play off winners and LDV final
- third season , champions.
- fourth , tough league , relagation, but superb victories along the way
- this season, 6th !!
What more can he do ?

The thing is, Wiggy and TTK now have to spout this crap when we draw, as losses have been few and far between recently. Shows that we must be doing pretty well.
FWIW, I agree that we were a bit slow blocking out their left-hand side, but as everyone else has mentioned, Tyson is quite a handy guy to have on the bench.

I would suggest that people who wish to criticise Tillys use of the English language sort thier own house out first.
As for the change in the second half. We had been on top for the first 45 minutes , Forest then changed formation and then had the wind with them.
With the pace of Tyson and the wind against us we had to defend fairly deep otherwise a quick ball over the top would have left us open to the pace.
That in turn meant that we were stretched a bit more than the first half (front to back) which with the extra man they now had in midfield would certainly mean that we would not get as much of the ball in the midfield.
With Kanu running out of steam and Black seemingly only interested in attacking we started to let them get more of the ball and more time on it as well.
I felt that a 2nd goal was needed before the break and unforunately that turned out to be the case, but we still could have won it on several occasions and on another day the Goaline clearance or Gowers effort may well have had a different result.

Of course, if Tilly were to leave, at least there is a queue of talented young managers who have Southend in their blood and would bring unprecedented success to the club. Its sooo long, I can't see the end!
At no point during last nights game were Forest as good as us. They closed the gap a bit in the second half, but still were second best.
Funny how sitting back and protecting a lead saw us have one cleared off the line, point blank save and numerous other chances.
Can't wait until Tilly instructs the team to attack; I doubt our scoreboard will cope with the digits!

What a load of crap.
Forest did have something to do with the result. They made two subs at the break, saw our strength (midfield) and decided to cut it out by banging long balls to their forwards.
Obviously this is negative management by Tilly.

I thought the first half we were decent tbh if a bit wasteful at times and always needed the second goal.
The second half however Forest came out with a mission and made good substitutions. We were exposed a number of times down our right side when Forest broke and were eventually made to pay.
I wouldn't say it was negative tactics by us but good positive tactics by Forest which we didn't cope with.
Tbh i said before the game i'd take a point and i'm happy that we got that because either side could have won it by the end.

personally im so bored of tilly bashing that im trying to ignor it, he is the best thing that has happened to the club ever in my opinion. love to know how we were playnig deffensivley or was just beacuse we didnt score another? forrest are a good team some peopel must just love moaning
