Tilson's negative tactics cost us 2 points, fact!

I don't think Tilson was nervous at all. He is loved by the players for his trust in them and this shows in our performances. We didn't play as well second half but there was massive commitment all over the pitch from everybody and i thought we defended stoutly. A deserved point well earned.

Tyson was a class apart and changed the game. Our average defence couldn't deal with him and we got punished and were fairly lucky not to 2-1 down 60 seconds after we conceded the first ...

I don't agree Wiggs luv.
The interviewer on the radio asked the question as if we should be down about getting a draw and Tilly as always was being positive and saying the boys got a good result, against what is basically a moneybags club paying the Agogos of this world fortunes.

I always enjoy a Tilly piece on BBC Essex,he never runs our lads down and if we get stuffed he says things like "we weren't at the races today",-excellent!!
Great to hear him struggling to contain his anger on referees and when he's not articulate enough he does wriggle out well in tight situations.

I think Forst prob got a complete bollocking at half time as Calderwood isnt exactly the fans fav for them, and he's job is on the line, so they come out second half and looked a different team altogether from the first half.

I thought we did play well in a windy night, must be tough to play football in that weather. We are better than Forest overall, but Forest had a 10 mins spell in 2nd half which they improved, in that spell they score the goal, but after we settled down, we are the better team in last 20 mins, should have won the game in end.

How far we come in last 4 years that I was gutted not to beat a club like Forest, I remeber the night we lose to Boston .... its was horrible, I hope we dont go back to that level EVER again.

PS: Tilson done a good job for us this season and Iam happy with the process this season with a new young team, we got mixed result this year as we havent had a settled team yet. In last 5 game, we look settled now.

The only "fact" Wiggy is that Forest altered their formation and strike-force in the second half - a desperate measure and one that showed our dominance in the first 45 minutes. It paid off for them and I bet Calderwood is kicking himself he didn't unleash Tyson on our slow, rabbit in the headlights style of defending sooner.

We know we can't defend and I can't be bothered to go over it again. I think there are plenty of new positives to dwell on instead tonight. A good point in the scheme of things.

Well, its cannot be worst unless you are a Col Scums fans .... what a horrible night for them to lose at home to Sheffield Weds ...... NOT!

So bored of this anti-Tilson bull****

1st Season - Saves us from oblivion, takes us to a Final
2nd Season - Takes us up, takes us to a Final
3rd Season - Wins the league
4th Season - Beats Man Utd, but gets relegated with a L2 team that every single pundit said would come bottom.
5th Season - Forced to sell talismanic top goalscorer, still has us in the playoffs.

Seriously now, how much do you people want from him? He could have burned his bridges and walked off to a host of big teams, but he stays and he works. Sometimes, in my darkest moments, I wish than Alan Little would return just to show you something worth whining about.

True but he isnt any good at interviews tho is he.....

joke btw....lol

Agreed. Tyson was brilliant when he came on, really changed the game.

When they applied pressure on us they looked alot more deadly than when we were on them! Pleased with a draw with a team really pushing for automatic promotion.

I agree Steve Tilson is rubbish at interviews! Repeated what he had said before around 3-4 times!!

I dont give a f*** if Tilson is sh*t in interview or not, but on the pitch in last 5 season, the players seem to give their all for Tilson and Iam happy with that. Tilson is the man to take Southend to next level in the next 4 season like we do on FM08, I cannot see anyone else come close to what Tilson did for us.

Tilson's still more interesting than the robotic lines most managers spew out.

Or would you rather listen to that Welsh **** in charge up the road throwing in the towel with 9games left and talking about going out to play for pride??:puke

If only the lottery was as predictable as you....

First half we were well on top and with a bit more luck would have gone in more than 1-0 up and it would have been game over.

Second half you could tell that Calderwood had given his players a rocket at half-time. He's the manager of a club whose expectations are only matched by Leeds, so out of desperation makes two substitutions and hopes for the best, and they came up trumps. Tyson set up the goal, Klingan scored. We had chances to score too but didn't take them.

Nothing to do with Tilson's tactics, the reason why Forest got into the game in the second half was because they've got people like Tyson on the bench and we haven't. It was still a cracking match and we're still in the play-off places.

Quite right Slipper, we're lucky to have him. But don't be carried along in the "he bleeds blue" euphoria. Tilly wanted to talk to Norwich and is ambitious to progress - it's Ron that stopped him.

Hindsight is great.

Let's see wiggless spout crap BEFORE a game instead of after!
