Running with the Biblical theme......If the stadium was for Moses...Ron would only actually need 2 sides as it was a river, although from what I understand of the events I might have suggested just the one stand on far bank - making sure there was a commercial element to it. No point in building a stand on the East side when most of the potential season ticket holders had an extended bath? No need for parking either as the chariots went down too.

2 letters in the Echo today saying that on Feb 27th, Ron stated that a developer would be appointed 2 weeks later and work would start sometime in May. Still very quiet in his corner, surely after making such a quote, he should explain why it has not happened. Not that many of us were holding out much hope anyway.

In all seriousness I wonder whether the current CEO transition at Sainsbury's from Justin King to Mike Coupe may have some bearing?

May have already been pointed out, but 'Spring Watch' doesn't finish its run until Friday. Ron's got good grounds for harassment if he's using the same almanac as the BBC ;-)

Why would it ? Sainsbury's are run by a board of directors not one person, Justin King wouldn't have had any more / less influence than the new guy. There must also be signed contracts in place or they wouldn't have advanced us £5M already without a cast iron guarantee that Roots Hall was theirs.

Unless they decided they did not want to develop it any more.... thereby losing their 'deposit'.

Business is a funny creature. You are right it is not run by one person but accreditation for success/progress etc is by design. It may be a part of many matters that Sainsbury's would like to put on Coupe's watch rather than the old regime.

The funny thing is that when and if the new stadium starts to get built we will suddenly see lots of updates from Ronald and his mug all over the website.

He is the first to milk it when things go well and always the first to abandon ship and be absent when things get tough.

In short the bloke is not a leader in any shape or form and from day one has only been in this for cash and to stroke his own gigantic ego.

I still think he will deliver but at what cost? And i certainly hope that everyone doesnt flock to congratulate the man and have short memories of what he has put the club through.

I am sure RM, like all of us, will be more than happy to see the project started. I dare say you may be right about a sudden heightened profile on his part. I also think that he has had it tough trying to give us what we all want. He may be hoping to make money but why not? Thats business. If he was not treating it as a business we would probably have gone under long ago.

I believe it has not helped the process.

But, that is not the only reason for yet another missed deadline.

Yes, I believe the new Bentley (and I'm not talking goalkeepers) was at least one step down from top of range. It doesn't come much tougher than that.
