I'd forgotten how depressing this place was close season :zzzzz:
Did you not see the discussions on our strikers whilst we were in the play off zone with a few games to go? This is happy valley in comparison!I'd forgotten how depressing this place was close season :zzzzz:
The new Sainsbury megastore to be built at RH must have vast profit potential that puts the cost of FF etc into the shade. If not why bother? There may not be an earthmover at FF currently but nor does there appear to be one with whoever at Sainsburys is dealing with all of this.
The obstacles at the moment appear to be mere bagatelle in the grand scheme of things and I cant help but feel that the delays we are witnessing serve a purpose somewhere. If Sainsburys are shelling out for the new stadium and want things to get a move on I am sure they would have found a way in their own interests.
For me the delays cannot be causing undue concern to some parties and may even be desired.

The most worrying thing I've heard recently is the big four - Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons and Tesco are all taking a bashing from the likes of Aldi and Lidl. Down sizing is the new in word and not mega stores. Quite where this leaves us is anybody's guess.
Maybe there is your answer... It's Sainsbury's who are holding up the development not RM..
Why not blame Sainsburys as it's probably their turn in the blame game/excuse stakes. At various times it has been the council, Prospects college, the shops and anyone else who can be accused for the delay.Maybe there is your answer... It's Sainsbury's who are holding up the development not RM..

Realistically I don't believe most on here expect the club to pander to fans demands. What would be nice is an update of what is happening. After all some here are probably shareholders in the club, some are season ticket holders and most go to support the club on a regular basis. It is normally good business sense to show your customers that you are doing things for their benefit so that they will continue to give you their custom. A brief update would not be unreasonable eh?
In an ideal world I fully agree with you but as we have no choice but to dwell in the land of reality (with the exception of Mrs. Blue and Wiggy. Only joking:unsure:) then it is clear to see the fan is of little or no significance. This is principally true because even though the industry is reliant on the fans for revenue streams, the massive number of fans has never galvanised itself to take on the industry and gain influence.
You referred to the season ticket holders. If they were to be given a vote to accompany their season ticket then the industry would listen but in truth they are no more than a cash cow.
I too wish I knew more of what is going on but 'they' have neither the need or inclination to include me in their dealings.
Sadly, I think you are correct in your assessment, which. quite honestly, is a grim state of affairs. So.......assuming we are of little or no consequence then all that is left is to get the angst out of our systems on here, thank god for SZ as a self-help counselling service as no one else is listening apparently.
Yes indeed. Thank the heavens for a place like SZ to vent our spleen. There is of course one grey area in my assessment and that is whether RM is purely a businessman or is also a fan. In my mind I believe he has succumbed to the inevitable seduction that is The Mighty Blues. I am perfectly sure he will, and quite rightly, pursue his business interest but I think some of what he will do will be tempered by the fact that like us he wants to see the club flourish.
So what was Ron's part in the events?Just to set the record straight: Moses parted it, the Messiah walked on it.
