Question What is making you happy today?

Happened last week after the elephant was pushed over in Library Gardens. A carer had walked a man over in his wheelchair to the elephant outside the Baptist church. It looked as if he had some learning disabilities. She'd managed to get him out of the wheelchair and stand and he was hugging the elephant and had his head on the elephant's face. He was smiling and very happy. A real joy.

Sounds like a real stand out moment for everyone, wonderful.😍

3 times in August my savings provider has emailed to say they are increasing the rate on my account. I've been with Oxbury for about a month or so and its emailed about 4/5 times to keep it's savings rate competitive.

Compare that to the usual high street banks and your lucky to get a rate thst is above 0.1%

Took the dogs for a walk and happened across a woman playing bagpipes...
And this made you happy ?

I went into Falmouth yesterday and some ****er started up - could still hear him half a mile away. Pity the poor shopworkers who had to put up with that all day. Horses for courses etc

Bagpipes can be marmite to people, but I remember on my visit to the 90th anniversary of the battle of Loos in France watching a lone Scottish piper playing a lament in the WGC looking out over the battlefield, it just sounded so right in respect of the fallen and stuck a rather large lump in my throat, but i do see the dislike for some.

I've never spread bagpipes on a slice of bread. Although apparently they go well with soldiers.

Watched the first episode of The Sopranos with my 15 year old son.

OK it is an 18 but it isn't really by today's standards and he has already watched Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul on the sly.

Having lived in Scotland - there are some excellent bagpipe players - my tutor was one, but there are also some terrible ones and when you’re bad at the pipes it sounds terrible!

My wife and I have just been out for a walk, taking a route that we use quite regularly. It takes us out into some fields and a wood near us. There was literally no-one else out there. It was silent, other than some grasshoppers and birds.

I made a joke to my wife that we could do whatever we wanted and no-one would know!

We went through the wood and along a pretty secluded path along the side of another field. Lo and behold, we disturb a couple about to embark on what I joked about!

The speed they pulled their trousers up and ran off would have impressed any tri-athlete.

I bet they weren't married - at least not to each other !
