My wife and I have just been out for a walk, taking a route that we use quite regularly. It takes us out into some fields and a wood near us. There was literally no-one else out there. It was silent, other than some grasshoppers and birds.

I made a joke to my wife that we could do whatever we wanted and no-one would know!

We went through the wood and along a pretty secluded path along the side of another field. Lo and behold, we disturb a couple about to embark on what I joked about!

The speed they pulled their trousers up and ran off would have impressed any tri-athlete.

Both had trousers on?

Coffee in the garden just now watching the sun getting ready to set when a skein of geese flew over our back garden low, loud and honking in a long line. Must of been 20-25 of them heading Southwards. Absolutely magnificent sight.

A extremely enjoyable day at Hopefield Animal Sanctuary where they do such great work saving those that have been Ill treated or who’s owners can no longer care for them anymore.

It was a very hands on experience with the horses and ponies who enjoyed being groomed as much as I did doing it and it certainly lifted my mood.

Just a shame it is not a bit closer as otherwise I may well be volunteer to help out at the sanctuary.
