I’ve got carne asada in the slow cooker and some corn tortillas, avocado and Cholula waiting for it.

Is there a better cuisine on this earth than Mexican?!
 
We have had a particularly tough two months at work in our team, with a system change, a colleague being diagnosed with bowel cancer and a colleague leaving the company under a cloud.

So receiving a WhatsApp from our director telling us that for next week's team meeting at the Belfry to bring our clubs for the second day has cheered me up no end.

That's impressive mate. Fancy getting the whole Southend squad up to the Belfry, they will be grateful. :Winking:

If I could I would mate, the elation they have provided so far. Or wish that some big owner of the company I work for would by the club, but that would open a whole can of worms as I work for a Chinese owned company.

We had the Red Arrows zoom over head about 4 times today as they took off and landed at Southend airport (we're about 5 minutes away by car), also a very noisy military jet and the Battle of Britain flight. A bit of a lift after the World Cup disaster as I'm a sucker for military aircraft.
