Question What is making you happy today?

My youngest son took a wicket in his only over and was bowled for 14 in a very easy victory yesterday. He played really well.

My eldest son didn't keep wicket today, but still managed a catch and a run out before batting. He came in with the team needing 22 to win. He hit 14 off 11 (including three 4s) which included hitting the winning runs.

Parked up on Belton Way to drink our coffee. Realised that there was a 2025 plate British racing green ferrari coupe parked in front of me. As couples passed it the blokes became impersonators of owls as they were able to twist their heads right round to drool over said car. Ladies with them just kept walking!

Honestly, just the little things today, my coffee was perfect, and I actually got some time to chill and listen to my favorite playlist without interruptions. Sometimes that’s all you need to brighten the day. What about you?

Watching The Big Match Revisited to see Chelsea vs Carlisle. Ray Wilkins played a pass to his younger brother Graham. I didn't know Ray had a younger brother so I googled him to find out something about him. According to Wikipedia, he finished his career on loan to us from Brentford.

Returning to Barna from holiday yesterday.Summer has clearly started here .It's hot -some 28 % degrees I think -Which it clearly hadn't when we went away back in May.We'll be hitting the beach soon I imagine.

Our closest friends who have had the year from hell (breast cancer and all the treatment that goes with it and extreme water retention that has swelled his legs to triple their size) are thankfully well enough to travel to France in a month or so and have kindly invited us over for a fortnight. It's a beautiful part of the world and they are just the best company so looking forward to it hugely.

Have a bottle of Pelfoth Brune for me.

Not to rub it in but £400 for me this month! That's my best win since 2023.
Nothing this month, unfortunately, I'm also on £300 so far this year like @Billy Bests boot laces - I did have one £1000 last year so keeping fingers crossed! I usually reinvest as it's effectively part of my pension, but did take half of those winnings.
