Question What is making you happy today?

One thing a restaurant in Southend ought to be able to do is decent fish. Even my mum goes to Leigh to buy it straight off the boat. Can't get fresher than that!

Oh absolutely, but when it comes to meals for children, some places do take short cuts and offer something a bit down market.

Keeping to the happy theme though, a lovely stroll round Hadleigh Castle yesterday. Must be about three decades (!) since I was last up there but it was great fun taking the children there. Then back to my Mum's for a very tasty Sunday roast dinner

That's the point I was making. Well done them.

Surviving my first day in the new job.

Not sure how much I'll be able to post on here though (not sure that's a good thing or a bad thing really!)

I'd quit if I were you. They obviously don't take social media seriously enough.

(Well done by the way, hope it was good!)

Maybe we should have a poll to canvas the views of other posters?

Took my mum and dad and daughter out to lunch at Tomassi's for dad's birthday - gingerbocker glory!!! 'Nuff said!

The Shaw report. The railway isn't being sold to the Chinese, so now I can now loaf for another 15 years then retire without fear of being send to a labour camp outside Bejing.
