Yes do appeal - they should really show leniency to people with the monthly pass making booking mistakes. The app isn't the best. Keep us posted on how you go.

The cataract in my right eye is scheduled for surgery in January, and because I had an overnight stay in Southend Hospital in the last 12 months Springfield Hospital insisted on an MRSA test which happened today. 08:45 appointment; so left home at 7.30am for a 20 mile drive. The A127, A130 and A1114 rammed so arrived at 9am! MRSA test lasted 3 minutes.

Its a lot, but whilst it states a 15 year contract in reality it may well be (and more than likely is) a deferred contract.

A deferred contract in baseball is an agreement where a portion of a player's salary is paid out over a period of time after the contract ends, rather than being paid in full during the contract term. This can help teams manage their payroll and stay under the luxury tax threshold, providing more financial flexibility to sign other players or make additional investments.

For example, Shohei Ohtani's contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers includes significant deferred payments, which means he receives a smaller annual salary during the contract term, but larger payments after the contract expires.

Basically Baseballs version of a "buy now pay later" allowing organisations to use the money they save to invest in a more talented roster and potentially win a championship, increasing sponsorship revenue etc. Speculate to accumulate.

Chap at Castle Point Motors says it is almost certainly DPF related because I only use it to take the dogs for their walks.

Have you noticed any loss of power?

You can try and force re-gen the DPF by taking the car out for a good 30-45 mins drive and run it constantly at 3000rpm.

That’ll normally clear the blockage/build-up.

on the Eurostar from Lille Europe yesterday afternoon the guy sitting directly opposite me was coughing & spluttering. Today less than 12 hours later I can feel the beginning of a sore throat coming on.

Usually a 2-3 day period until symptoms come on so you've likely picked that up ealrier in the week.

Hope it goes away as quickly

The lights on my pre-lit Christmas tree have failed. Technically not the lights, I believe its the transformer but without a working one the lights are now pretty much redundant.

I would just get another transformer but it appears like the evolution of the USB that the connections have changed and there is nothing out there to allow for backwards compatibility.

Nothing sadder than a Christmas tree with no lights on

Get a new transformer with the same output and cut/join the wires.

This assumes the output is low voltage.

Input 220-240 VAC
Output 32VDCmax 6 w

Didn't think of that. The transformer has a wire that feeds into "foot Stepper" which changes the colour and sequence of the lights. Could unscrew that and join the wire that feeds into that replacing the previous connector.

Try searching for a 32v 6w power supply on Amazon. You might get lucky

Would be interested to know if anyone else is having problems accessing games on the DAZN website. Have been unable to view anything for a couple of weeks and have sent about 20 emails but their latest tactic seems to be to ignore any communication. Their website is a nightmare to navigate, they don't seem to have a phone number and I am running out of ideas as to what to do. My sub is showing as up to date and in order but on the website I keep getting a recurring message that an 'unexpected issue has arisen which their techs are trying to resolve' and an error code of 65_000_400 which is not listed in their troubleshooting info. I know I am not missing much by being deprived of my weekly dose of masochism but I still need my fix and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I ordered 12 halogen bulbs on ebay for an OAP I help. She wanted them for Christmas, as her family now going to hers. She asked me to order online as much cheaper. The package has arrived to her. The thinnest bubble wrap inside. No fragile sticker. 8 of the 12 bulbs are smashed. Obviously the package has been thrown about in the depot and/or by the delivery driver. She will get a refund, but she's now got to buy local for two or three times the price, to have them for Christmas. And all the malarky involved for me collecting from her 7 miles away, and sending them back, as requested. I have so much trouble with these delivery firms. Damaged goods or parcels left in open view on the doorstep, rather than knock next door, etc. My worst experience was a laptop stolen in the EVRI depot Thurrock.

This time of year a lot of the delivery drivers simply leave the parcel on the doorstep or in a hidden place. They then take a photo of it before knocking on the door and walking back to their car marking the item as delivered (normally a prius where I live in Stanford-le-Hope)

To be fair Royal Mail and DHL seem to be quite good and actually knock first. If no answer they try and leave in a hidden place (round the back out of sight etc)

RE bulbs and electrical i can recommend TLC electrical in Basildon. Very cheap products and good service. Never had any issue with their LED bulbs which would save her money in the long run

I'm talking about delivery drivers that leave the parcel on the doorstep all year around, so not just the busy Christmas period. I have no safe place as I live upstairs flat in a house, with next to no front garden. I have a large family next door one side where someone is always in, especially the mother who has health issues. Other side I have an elderly couple. The male never goes out, again due to health issues, but he always answers the door, and will ring me to say I have a parcel. So if they can be bothered, they can leave it safely with a neighbour. But no, about half of them will leave it at my front door, and take a photo. My front door takes two steps for a thief. I do the ebay ordering for a few OAPs that can't operate a laptop. If I was a delivery driver, there's no way I would not try a neighbour.

Flu that has just wiped me out since onset on Wednesday. Never had anything like it, shortness of breath it hurt to cough and just can’t bring anything up.

I hate letting down work but had to the past couple of days as I didn’t want to spread it to the team before Christmas. Need to feel better before the 24th/25th as I have so much to do. 😔

Got a refund on a home Southend united kit last Saturday. Received email confirming refund had been processed. Didn't both to pay my credit card (due Friday) as the total bill was just for this purchase and it's not a card I use frequently so didn’t want to pay and then have £50 sitting on it as a balance.

Checked today, refund has not gone through. £12 late payment charge plus some interest
