I've never been called a snowflake before, Lol. No, I just have an opinion on all sorts of topics. This is what forums are for, aren't they? So over 17,000 posts on this thread on what's hacking people off, and you've singled out one person? Others are posting on this thread almost every week, and you've not said a word.

I've singled it out because you have a habit of calling everything you disagree with "woke", which is simply unnecessary. Hence the need to call you a snowflake!

I don't like these new age insult terms, what was wrong with a "knob",or "Bellend," bit of old stye name calling. W anker is much under appreciated and used imo.

Really appreciate understanding the mindset of the 'anti woke brigade'. It must be very upsetting to feel so threatened and intimidated by fresh thinking and new ideas.

Someone reversed into my car on Saturday causing a bit of damage and although admitting liability at the time their story has now changed to we drove into the back of them.

The last few days I have had so many calls, text messages and emails on this my stress levels are certainly up !

This is like a James O'Brien Phone in. Why did you put the word in? I've not seen the justification for it?

Why Woke and not say Sausages? Both as irrelevant to the subject as each other.

Sausages, these can be very indifferent and a poor sausage is not nice at all when grissel and filler, BUT a proper butchers' made can be an absolute delight.
The low quality formed the basis of "banger" name, which is not a good thing.

In this thread, your mind is entirely aligned with a specific type of 'news' agenda. As shown by you calling people lefties and calling things woke.

I had something similar a few years back. At a roundabout a woman drove into the back of me. We both pulled over and swapped details, and a police car stopped to get involved too as it turns out the police officer was a friend of the lady that hit me. As it was, it looked like there was no damage to my car so I wasn't bothered, but I did tell the lady that the car was booked in for a service the following day and I'd let her know what BMW said when they had had a chance to look it over. I then had to message her and ask for her insurance details as there was some damage that neither of us noticed at the time.

She refused to pass on her details saying she never even hit me. She also said that people in the pub right by the accident were prepared to act as her witnesses that nothing had happened, and that CCTV from the pub car park proved she didn't hit me. This was clearly all lies.

I had the car repaired by some company whose name I can't remember. They do it for free and claim back from the other side, but the other side refused to pay them. They showed photos of the front of the woman's car that showed her number plate wasn't even damaged, making the point that she couldn't have hit me if the number plate was intact. I took one look at the photo and pointed out to the repair company that it wasn't the same number plate as in the photo I took at the time (the spacing of the characters was different). The woman had actually put on a new number plate!

To cut a very long story short, after about 18 months we ended up in the small claims court where I was called as a witness (as was the woman) because her insurance company refused to pay. Unsurprisingly, none of her witnesses from the pub attended, and she didn't show any CCTV from the car park. Needless to say my repair company won and she was made to look a complete liar.

I guess what I'm saying is: brace yourself, this could go on some time!

I've never been a fan of their later interiors, always seemed a bit bland. The older jags oozed quality. The later ones looked like they're made out of old mondeo bits.

Interesting way to look at it. I always saw it the other way round, i.e. Mondeos used the Jaguar chassis! Given that Ford own Jaguar you'd have to say your way makes more sense though.

Funny enough, it's amazing how the Land Rover car almost died, and then rose again to be seen as a more cool and sought after car.

He seemed to be more worried that some people mighy not recognise LR + Jaguar as being made by the same firm.But unlike Rob (and me I hope) he's always been a bit of a snob.

You could always get daily updates from people you know (as I do) and not bother with the rest of their (fairly crappy)service.
