Yeovil have signed 20 year old Ciaran McGuckin on loan from Rotherham a 6 ft striker, N. Ireland U21 capped with 2 goals in 6 appearances at that level. Has made 3 appearances from Rotherham and spent time on loan at Scarborough, 2 years ago scoring 6 in 24. Will be interesting to see what game time and how he does at this level.

I can't speak for anyone else, and I like your posts, but I consult give a **** who Yeovil or Hartlepool or Wickford Town have signed.

If Calum Butcher can provide leadership and experience and help our younger players grow and as been said is a hard give no quarters type i am more than willing to give him a chance ,a local lad it seems so i will say if he has signed welcome home CB. I still have faith given time that both Walker and Bonne will come good for us. Just think Bonne needs a goal or 2 to help his confidence, but still in the mind we need a hard nut midfielder to help those around him . top half of the table is now what im looking for , was never thinking we would get promoted this season ,my hope was we could get a playoff place and a run in the cup .
By the way i had to return from Surigao after just one day there for matters other than football that came to head .

Alternatively we could have two threads. One on the original idea of 'Transfer rumours' and a new one..............something like 'Discussions around topics related to transfers.'
But genuine transfer rumours are rare tbh. Leaks within the club have been plugged which restricts the possibility of proper goss to things like someone going to the club shop and seeing someone they recognise in the car park.
I personally don't mind the off topic stuff... in isolation it may be irrelevant, but it makes it more like a conversation and I'd rather read that than otherwise just see the names of players who are free agents or details on who other clubs have signed, neither of which fit the topic either.

I find it interesting who other teams are signing. It shows that there is activity in the market place. And ultimately football is a relative game, eg you don't have to be a good team, just relatively better than the other teams, so knowing what the other teams are up to is useful

Harry Gibbs set to be announced by Hornchurch after departing Aveley, along with Louis Lomas. One i’ve seen mentioned on here a few times but was realistically never going to happen.
I still feel a bit melancholy about Lomas. Was so excited when we signed him. It was one of the standout examples of where we were going as a club. Not a washed up has-been on a pay day, but a young promising player who was in his leagues team of the season. I feel so sorry for him that the move didn't work out and feel even sadder that it's probably mentally scared him. The financial situation, the toxicity in general and then the apparent misdiagnosis of his injury. That could be described as one hellish move. I hope he recovers. I also wonder if things were different, if he would be playing for us now, especially with Kensdale unavailable.

What a fantastic word by the way. Forget that Suzie Dent, this is making my knees tremble.

That's your prerogative of course and I respect that, but I like to keep aware of what our rivals are doing and where they are sourcing players from.

In the case of loans, often if successful, they may still leave their parent club if deemed not going to progress at a higher level and are not always snapped up by the club they have been on loan to. Sometimes I hope we could pick off players that have been loaned in our division at our rivals, if we feel they will fit into our squad, as in the future with COSU at the helm, we may be seen as an attractive club to establish playing careers with by younger players and their agents..

Any way, have as best a day as possible.

Obviously our defence is fine our midfield is fine and our forwards are fine too.
The subs bench provides strength to cover for injuries and for tactical changes so we don't actually need anyone either permanent or on loan!
So I will be most surprised if we don't beat Solihull Moors most convincingly 1-0, have agrest day out to our travelling supporters and remember to leave your drones at home!

Barnet have far too many players on big wages, so they had to off load them to others clubs, either on loan or permanent and get their wages off the bill.
