If all of those positions are fine why are we playing so poorly? 2 wins in 10 this year and not looking great in over half of those. Francis would have added some pace for a start.
It was the only conclusion I could deduce from not getting someone like Francis in, I saw him play a few times last season and not surprised he stepped up a level this season.
But we must be okay šŸ‘

People are throwing tantrums because we're not doing a wrexham and have lost a couple of games
To an extent this may be true but Kev keeps saying we are short of bodies and need people in..repeatedly.. so itā€™s not unreasonable for people to the agree with him? There are some who donā€™t think the situation is urgent and therefore, presumably, think Kev is wrong. I know whose opinion carries most weight with me. So whilst no tantrums certainly frustration.

That all said I remain confident things will look much better comes Xmas

Weā€™ve made 8 signings, loan and permanent, this season.
So what? How many have we lost?

It doesn't matter how many we have brought in if we can't play them or have you missed that point completely, it would appear so.

It's not just about how many you sign, but how many you lose.

We started with 16 due to the embargo, Kev has stated on numerous times, he ideally wants to operate with a squad around 22/23 players. So we were 7 light.

We have lost Wes, Powell, Kensdale and Cards so that's net 4 up not 8 up net.

We have Walker, Miley, Coker and Waldron out injured, so that eats up your remaining four net, or the entire 8 entirely.

We are operating on a base of 16, plus two untried youth players to make the bench up and still adrift of the 22/23 players the manager desires, so it makes no additional impact at this moment in time that we have signed 8 players. We have no additional numbers, injuries not choice dictate who is missing and where players are not available, so we are not seeing the benefit of our eight signings, I hope we do ASAP, but for the moment we are falling further behind teams that are bolstering their squads and making genuine additions and gettting points over the last week, where we haven't.

That could all change when we have less injuries and the sooner the better, but we are very limited for options at the moment and that is why I have full sympathy for Kev and what he is trying to achieve.

Dont you just love Shrimpermoan , Makes me wonder if JR and the consortium read all this and feel regret that they save d our club. How people can be so impatient and expect immediate success . First priority for COSU was to always get the club back on an even keel , get all the debts that spineless rat and his off spring left the club with, that takes time and thankfully have the support of 7000 supporters through the gate and selling of 2000 shirts and god knows how many season tickets can only help shorten that period. Until then just sit back relax ,believe me our time will come, the club is layng the foundations for many years to come for not just you people now but your grand children and their children so they will not have to go through what all of you have had to.

I get the point totally, but they are clever guys and hopefully wonā€™t be shocked that this comes with the territory of owning a football club. Is not a normal business with massive passion, dreams and expectations and itā€™s a big part of many peopleā€™s lives.

Plus most of them support/know the club and its fan base

If I am not wrong a priority of the new ownership is that not only players are paid (and on time) but also the club's' many creditors. This means a budget has to be set and followed with the result that right now we just cannot afford some of the available unattached players let alone a fee for those who are contracted. Those crying 'loosen the purse strings' would do well to remember that this was what Ron was usually happy to do. 'Wow' signing followed 'wow' signing all of whom were paid (albeit not always on time) at rates higher we could afford. This was one the main reasons we ran up debts which nearly drove us to extinction.

The 'Wrexham model' is not an option under the present ownership and wishing will not make it so.

For those who claim that promotion is only possible if we dramatically upgrade our budget for players they might like to remember JS has a proven track record of success while keeping to a relatively modest budget.
However, for him to work his magic he needs to be able to recruit in May and June and not July.

It's also worth taking into account that other clubs we are competing with do not have the financial shackles of the past 25 years of mis-management to negotiate.

When we get further down the road of developing young players selling at a profit and re-investing into the club and team we will be in a totally different operational position.

Take Maidenhead as an example. A seven figure sum in a sell on deal came in to their coffers this summer, what wouldn't we give for that? Hopefully every day brings that a little closer, but it's going to take time.
