Yes George was at Hull City and Luton before that so they had to pay him a high salary to encourage a move down to Orient, rumour has it he is their best paid player on a basic salary of Ā£4K a week, madness!
Crazy- but Championship is an utter basket case and once someone is there moving even back to L1 can be challenging financially.

Until EFL window closes probably Orient will fantasise about some moneybags club coming in and doing them a favour- of course the player has more of a say than is often acknowledged.

He could just say look this is where I want to go- go and sort it out otherwise I will see out my contract- Orient can then choose between paying Ā£4K a week for someone not playing or Ā£2.5k a week for someone not player.

Nose. Spite. Face.

If another club is interested they'll be hoping for a bidding war, of course the 'other club' may be a figment of the player's agent's imagination.

Heard about this a couple weeks back as got few people who support os..

One of them said this
He's a great player on his day, but something's not right with him, doesn't seem to want to stay fit for some reason then he's blowing out his arse after 20 mins
Their idiot manager said something similar re fitness and attitude- extraordinary when a club is try to persuade other clubs to take him off their hands. As if they want to drive down offersā€¦

To clarify not disruptive or unpleasant attitude-wise, apparently a very nice guy, just not motivated to be the best he can be.

Looking at some of the post s on their forum they seem to think they are massive and why should he go to little Southend ,when in fact they have only sold 300 more than we have ,massive club

Does anyone reckon will be making a kind of statement signing ie a Moncur for example as obvs i understand the consortium are going to be a lot more sensible on budget for example ..

He wants to stay in Essex area, so they may find it rather difficult to tempt him there.

Very true.

However, if a deal canā€™t be broke here, then heā€™ll have to go elsewhere unless he wants to rot in Orientā€™s reservesā€¦.

He had 8 goal involvements (4 goals and 4 assists) in 35 league 1 games and that isn't a player a lot of teams could get at this level normally. That would be a great signing at this level. Wes got less than that at this level. He would be a huge upgrade on Wes and that's what the evolution of a team is all about.

The other things being said about him may all be subjective to the situation he is/was in. I believe enough in our management team to get the best out of him, on and off the field.

I'm sure it was said that Collin wasn't the best in terms of taking training as serious as he could at the start and the management team have done well with him thus far.

He holds all the cards- so why agree to anything else- once the EFL window closes itā€™s NL or nowhere and NL window is long as will be his patience- so itā€™s who blinks. But he gets his 4K either way

Exactly.

Whether he joins us, FGR, stays at Orient or goes elsewhere on loan, he is getting his Ā£4k.

Itā€™s down to the club trying to get him, and Orient to agree the percentage split, just like Tshimanga.

If I was a betting man, Iā€™d have Ā£1 on Moncur and 50p on Tshimanga. Unless something drastic happens with the budget, we certainly wonā€™t be getting bothā€¦

That only tells us you think moncur is more likely. Do you only have Ā£1.50 or Ā£100? That will tell us how likely either!
