Probably not connected, but no Cardwell in the Forest Green squad tonight I see. Doidge and Quigley sharing the duties instead.
Yes, I saw that. Think Harry was in the squad on Saturday but didn't get any minutes, might be unwell/injured ?Probably not connected, but no Cardwell in the Forest Green squad tonight I see. Doidge and Quigley sharing the duties instead.

Sorry, where did I say they 'never' get dropped. That is fair enough.
I do think other players, like Morton, Wind etc should have played more.
However, the poster was incorrectly stating that these players are never dropped, and I’ve proved they have been at times.
As I said, might not be enough for some people, that person included, but to suggest they are never dropped is nonsense and completely false.
Sorry, where did I say they 'never' get dropped.
Maher couldn't wait to get Miley back in the side, at the expense of Morton and I think you'll find Miley has lost his place, when he's come back from injury or suspension, but he's hardly ever been dropped!
Fair enough; sorry - you responded to me earlier that's why I thought it was aimed at meCheck my post again. I was referring to another poster not you.
Yes. Dropped for half a game and we didn’t lay a glove on them. Bridge isn’t playing well, but with the system we are better with bridge in the team than not in the team.Parallel universe. Missing one or two games is hardly being dropped and Bridge was 'dropped' for half a game last saturday!
I don’t get the comparison of Miley and Morton. Miley is better off the ball - one of the best in the division (not so much this season) at breaking up play. Morton is more cultured on the ball. Blend their best bits together and you have championship level Kevin Maher. As it is - I’d be surprised in game where there is a team who are near the top and will have a bit of the ball if Miley wouldn’t play. Unfortunately they don’t seem to be able to play well together.Sorry, where did I say they 'never' get dropped.

He's hotHope we are tracking Faal at Worthing. 2 more goals tonight
i dont get this why is he not likely to be dropped , yes he has scored 10 goals , but how many goals have we conceded from his side of the ground because he lacks defensively. Seems teams are targetting his side of the ground now .And Ralph and Taylor's form has been pretty good, and GSM was top scoring with 10 goals. Not likely to be dropped.
It was probably aimed at me but with the usual inaccuracy and selectivity as I don't recall using the word 'never'. Besides, anyone that thinks being dropped means missing half a game like Bridge did on Saturday clearly has a very elastic interpretation of the word.Fair enough; sorry - you responded to me earlier that's why I thought it was aimed at me
When the team was announced Bridge wasn’t in it. It’s pretty clear people would say when hearing that news that he had been dropped. He was then substituted at half time as we were 2 0 down as an attempt to try something new. He wouldn’t have got on if we were 2 0 up. I don’t think that interpretation has to be very elastic tbh.It was probably aimed at me but with the usual inaccuracy and selectivity as I don't recall using the word 'never'. I think there's two reasons for that. Firstly, the opposition know what a threat he is and he is very rarely marked by just one player these days. That was also the case a lot of last season, but see my second point. Secondly, as KM said, we're missing Wes. He used to overlap down the left a lot more than anyone else, which pulled a player away from Bridge, leaving him one on one more often. On Bridge (and as it’s a transfer thread). At the beginning of the season I wouldn’t have thought a LWB would have been near the top of the list of requirements but Bridge has gone from a player that teams would put 2 men on to try and nullify to someone who stands static on the line in a too deep position and rarely gets a dangerous ball into the box. Generally if he got sent off I’m not sure we would notice the impact. I think I’d now be delighted if we bring someone new in for that spot.
i'm impressed you can see into the future. can you tell me the lottery numbers please?Although you may not recall it, the results masked the style last season and I would hardly call it exhilirating. It was a fun ride what with all that was going on but with Kev not willing to adapt tactics and style to the players he has means we have been found out and we really need a different approach. If Kev is willing to do this, great but even if we start doing a bit better with this style we will not be keeping the crowds we have been getting.
It doesn't take Mystic Meg to predict that those who part with their hard earned money to be entertained will not do so if the product is not entertaining.i'm impressed you can see into the future. can you tell me the lottery numbers please?
