Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation Transfer Rumours Thread 2024/2025.

I don’t get the comparison of Miley and Morton. Miley is better off the ball - one of the best in the division (not so much this season) at breaking up play. Morton is more cultured on the ball. Blend their best bits together and you have championship level Kevin Maher. As it is - I’d be surprised in game where there is a team who are near the top and will have a bit of the ball if Miley wouldn’t play. Unfortunately they don’t seem to be able to play well together.

Either way - transfer rumours. Would love a PM from anyone ITK who knows who they may be.
Agree with this. I wish we could find a way to play both together, maybe with Coker in there as well. But both Miley and Morton seem to need to be the central 1 in the 3

On Bridge (and as it’s a transfer thread). At the beginning of the season I wouldn’t have thought a LWB would have been near the top of the list of requirements but Bridge has gone from a player that teams would put 2 men on to try and nullify to someone who stands static on the line in a too deep position and rarely gets a dangerous ball into the box. Generally if he got sent off I’m not sure we would notice the impact. I think I’d now be delighted if we bring someone new in for that spot.
Bridge cannot work alone.
No player works alone.
Hussain should be that man but he does not attack. He should be the Fond' type.

I think we’ve only really tested them when trying to play Morton in the Husin role on the left. I’d like to see how they work as a 2 in maybe a 4231 formation.

When the team was announced Bridge wasn’t in it. It’s pretty clear people would say when hearing that news that he had been dropped. He was then substituted at half time as we were 2 0 down as an attempt to try something new. He wouldn’t have got on if we were 2 0 up. I don’t think that interpretation has to be very elastic tbh.
Indeed. It’s pretty difficult to be completely dropped when we can barely fill the bench, and you can use 5 subs out of effectively 6 as one is a keeper. And of course, get crucified for not using said substitutes as early as possible…

I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Tom Hopper end up with you guys. He was left out of squad last night as been given permission to speak with another club
Yes I was just going to come on here and say the same thing, he is probably one of the players who was told by Danny he wouldn’t be getting a new contract. He is such a hard worker who I know the Cowley’s rate highly, but sadly he doesn't score enough goals. I could see him being a player who wins the headers to enable players like Bonne to bang in the knockdowns.

I was with you up until the last bit

'he doesn't score enough goals.'
Perfect fit then.
Obviously some substance to this.
