And Ralph and Taylor's form has been pretty good, and GSM was top scoring with 10 goals. Not likely to be dropped.Parallel universe. Missing one or two games is hardly being dropped.

That’s some decent stats there. My point is that people like Morton in particular who has played far better than the likes of Brdige and Husin hasn’t had the same starting time. I do find that odd and does stink of old boys club with Maher picking players out of form and not giving other a fair chance. Gus since being missing Rochdale due to suspension has been average at best. Wind has started what 4 games? Of course it’s all about opinions but it doesn’t seem that Maher is giving some players a fair crack at the moment but also his reluctance to change the system is also puzzling
Yes you are totally correct there for sure. That is fair enough.
I do think other players, like Morton, Wind etc should have played more.
However, the poster was incorrectly stating that these players are never dropped, and I’ve proved they have been at times.
As I said, might not be enough for some people, that person included, but to suggest they are never dropped is nonsense and completely false.
TBf James the performances this season whether the same style or not are miles apart from what we watched last season. The lack of fight and spirit on Saturday was alarming and against a side who hadn’t won for 5 games. We hardly laid a glove. So the system may well be the same but what we are witnessing this season is miles off last. We’ve won 8 league games and only 3 at home. We’ve are averaging well over 7000 so no wonder people are getting frustrated. Our away support remains remarkable as well but at least we’ve seen more wins on the road. But the football remains dull and boring.I don't recall many people complaining when we played that style fairly successfully last season, were essentially a top 7-level team, and scored 70 league goals in the process?
I find it incredibly hard to believe that what we are witnessing at the moment is how the coaching team wants us playing. I also find it hard to believe that the players are coached to be "boring" or "negative", or to "play sideways and backwards", or to be low-scoring. Confidence plays a huge part, as does the fact that we are now missing some pace and quality. They deserve the opportunity to have a bit of a rebuild and to try to make a success of their chosen identity.
That's not to say that some criticism isn't warranted, or that a tough decision won't have to be made if the ship isn't turned around, but hopefully a few decent additions this month and then a wider rebuild over the summer will bear fruit.
Noor has started 20 of his 25 league appearances. His one miss from the squad was due to injury against York at the start of the season. You only have to look at the bench on Saturday to see evidence of Bridge being dropped.
Also, rather than putting up half truths, why not look at the fact that Husin has only started 21 matches and Bridge 22, which is behind Ralph, Taylor & GSM and Bridge is level with Collin, who people say has been dropped. That is just league matches.
Plenty of evidence of both being dropped….
Yes, but Husin and Bridge have not started that number of games, so in effect they haven't made the starting line up. Sounds as though they been dropped to me.Husin and Bridge have made the most appearances for Southend this season, 26 and 27 respectively, with Taylor and Ralph also on 26. Not much evidence of being dropped.
Although you may not recall it, the results masked the style last season and I would hardly call it exhilirating. It was a fun ride what with all that was going on but with Kev not willing to adapt tactics and style to the players he has means we have been found out and we really need a different approach. If Kev is willing to do this, great but even if we start doing a bit better with this style we will not be keeping the crowds we have been getting.I don't recall many people complaining when we played that style fairly successfully last season, were essentially a top 7-level team, and scored 70 league goals in the process?

Remember Coker missed a number of games through injury earlier in the season, meaning that Miley and Husin played games they might not have done otherwise. Controversial this may be but I don't think Miley, Morton or Husin are good enough. Coker has been the best of the midfield this year by a long way and perhaps the midfield should be built around him.Noor has started 20 of his 25 league appearances. Jack Bridge has started 21 out of 26 league appearances. He did not start against Hartlepool, Rochdale, Aldershot, Woking and Barnet
Cav Miley has started 12 out of 15 league appearances.
They have not been dropped nearly enough for how they are playing this season that is a fact, we know and can see that Husin and Miley does not work together at the moment.
In a promotion winning side, Coker would be a sub, would he get into the Barnets or Yorks midfield, i doubt it. That being said his development has been very encouraging and he's not far off it. Wait til Summer!!Just loving the transfer rumours
And a tweet from TC9 has him going to to the land of six toes and incestual persuasion, though i have learnt to ignore that account from the SZ posters. In a promotion winning side, Coker would be a sub, would he get into the Barnets or Yorks midfield, i doubt it. That account is useless, so yes, ignore it.And a tweet from TC9 has him going to to the land of six toes and incestual persuasion, though i have learnt to ignore that account from the SZ posters.
I didn't think it would take too long before COSU were turned on.Or in other words…COSU are taking the **** and hanging him out to dry.
