I know But it is there, he is in need of a confidence boost, see him score 1 (He scored 4 for us once in a FA cup game against Wealdstone) and he will hit the net regularly.

Some would hate that because it would prove them wrong. So far no goals in 1025 mins (11 games equivalent). Just 7 starts and 13 sub appearances in the League. 1 appearance in the FA Cup.

Also playing up front for a team that Paul Clark described as follows if you are a forward: "if you got that service in a restaurant you would walk out"

But there is nothing we like more than presenting our player in the worst light we can so we tear them down. Next in line if Bonne scores will be Charley Kendall no doubt. There's always someone. Cardwell meanwhile at FGR hasn't scored in over 3 months- strangely no-one tearing him a new one on their forum. He would do well to stay where he is.

Col Utd tend to pick up all the promising youngsters anywhere near the A12. They also pick up a few Ipswich youngsters that are rejected. We tend to pick up those nearer the A13.

What about the A130 though?

Out of interest were Tovide and Itioinvien both from your academy and been with you a while? and where did Tyreece Simpson come from?

Tovide was at Orient as a youngster, we picked him up at 17 and brought him through the remaining academy time, he is going on to have a great career as he is so strong and fast. Ihionvien was picked up from playing local football in London and was for a while in Charltons set up. We spotted his ability and polished up a rough diamond into a gem! Tyreece is ex Ipswich youth, did well at Swindon on loan, then got sold to Huddersfield, has played on loan at a couple of clubs before being sold to Stevenage. It is not working out for him there but we now have him on loan, probably with a view to signing him in the summer. He is young, powerful and fast, I think the Cowley's believe they can bring the best out of him, he is very similar to Tovide.

The next great hope coming through is Oscar Thorn (Right winger) who came from Norwich City as a youngster, having previously been at Arsenal up to the age of 14, he had short spells at Billericay and Bowers and Pitsea. He is just getting into our 1st team, and has now signed a new contract up until summer 2027. He is a big lad for a winger being 6 feet, oh yes he was born in……wait for it….. Southend!

IIFC Matt Jay was previously at Exeter and scored a fair few in midfield. Any idea why it didnt work out for him at Col U @Colchester and proud! ?
