Transfer news
If we’re after a target man type then maybe Marcus Dinanga or Levi Amantchi who don’t seem to be getting much game time at Bromley?

Or if we’re shopping lower, then Mo Faal at Worthing could be a good shout?

We have to stop this nonsense about us having a mid or lower table budget. We currently have a top 7 playing budget. COSU are also investing plenty of money into other things off the pitch for a better more sustainable club. There is a strong budget in place for non playing too. Do you really think Maher, Currie, Bentley, Still etc are paid peanuts? We should be competitive now, certainly for the playoff push. Has it been perfect circumstances, no but enough with these untruths and excuses
We have a top 7 budget? We were told the budget has been reduced for this year and it wasn’t top 7 last year? Any ITKs confirm?
If it is the case we must have a chunk left over to spend now. Hopefully we can find the right incomings.

I said in November, post #122 on ‘Thanks Kev - but is a new manager needed? thread. Last year Chesterfield and Bromley had higher budgets than us. This season playing budget order is Forest Green followed by Barnet, Oldham, Sutton and York. We are there or thereabouts after that so 6/7/8th. It is not mid to lower like some people are making out. That was the set budget, how much of that budget has been spent is a different question. That I do not know and it’s changes as they react to various opportunities and challenges i.e loans in, loans out, player sales, possible injection due to investment or using unbudgeted money from a cup run etc

If anyone can offer up more clubs they know have higher planned playing budgets I’ll gladly listen, you may have different sources / more updated info. So far though all I hear is people saying that we are far lower but with nothing to back it up

Last year after signing Richard Kone from the Essex Senior League, Wycombe have signed another player for our region, Ryan Cole a left back from Newmarket who has scored 6 goals from left back in the Isthmian North.

Annoying that we aren’t able to pounce on these players especially from leagues within our region.

Jake Tabor is still available at Amersham. He liked my tweet recently about saying that we should have a look at him.

Some will shoot me down for it, but I’m actually gutted we didn’t get Fonguck back. For me, we looked a far better side with him in it and it’s no coincidence that Bridge isn’t half as effective without him on the left of the midfield 3 after scoring 21 goals over the 2 seasons Wes was with us. And dare I say it, Husin and Miley were better playing next to him too.

They won't open the cheque book.
They are sorting off field poop left by rat as a priority....get ready for a dose of Bonne and Waldron.
I agree but I’m trying to stimulate debate from those who say they should. Wondered who people thought were sensible targets who’d want to come to us.

Whoever we're looking at I do worry that this new "data" approach is having too much sway and we'll end up missing out on targets
