Are you telling me the way we play isn't terrible? Jokes on you if you are!Really? It was good for 18 goals for him last season.

As football fans we all want the best...... whether it's top signings, better facilities or decent pint. Unfortunately at times we can't have what we all crave at once. January is difficult month where the players of the level we would like are at premium price compared to the summer. My hope is COSU have used this season as pre season as such with the aim of lining our ducks in row ready for the assault on the summer window where there will be expectation from fans and rightly so to build a competitive squad for promotion charge next season. 7k plus at Roots Hall despite a pretty dire season is very good, now it's time to build on those foundations which are currently in place for potentially successful season in 25/26. With Maher I'm bit 50/50 at the moment, there's part of me thinks he deserves more time and full summer to recruit but there's another part of me which thinks maybe we could be bit ruthless here and end his time here at the end of the season if results are poor with promotion proven winning manager. Interesting times ahead I'm sure.Well COSU could hardly decide not to invest in the team now, and then blame him for a mid table finish having never had the support in the transfer market that many of the managers of other clubs received both in the summer and during the season, and indeed continue to receive..
I think for COSU to question Kev they would need now to match the spending of the big clubs in the division, the of behemoths the division such as York, Barnet & FGR and for there to be no improvement. But we havent the ££ for that.
And will be good for squad unity as he is well liked. And not one was a penalty so it was a good tally.
Hi Kev, yes sorry about the embargoes, lack of budget (we’re not a big club like FGR, Barnet or York you know) and all the other cr*p you’ve had to put up with. We’re very surprised we’ve not been promoted. You’re fired. As football fans we all want the best...... whether it's top signings, better facilities or decent pint. Medicals are more likely to be conducted at the training ground I’d have thought. Maybe they’re taking photos with scarves aloft but I’d have thought testing the floodlights is more likely as Tom Lawrence said they were upgrading the floodlights in the early part of the yearJust went past the ground, floodlights are on could they be putting someone through a medical on the pitch?
They will have to up the budget...... doesn't need to be wrexham style or york per say but competitive top 7 budget. Maher done good job in difficult circumstances but his style of football isn't what required to get us out this league although he probably does deserve a chance given his loyalty through difficult period. As I previously said I'm 50/50 on Maher and I wouldn't want him sacked now. The fan needs to see progression and value for it's money they are paying each season, 7k in attendance can become 4k if we aren't progressing as a club thats the danger. Currently we are languishing in the bottom half with mid table budget with the majority of our signings being left over rubbish this season. That needs to improve going forward as we won't be getting 7k plus week with non league looking like the future. I don't want that to be our future..... I want to see progression on the pitch going forward, if that means we have to be ruthless to get to where we belong back in the EFL then so be it. Hi Mr Promotion Winning Manager, yes 7k gates, what was that? We’re a big club? Well anyway we want promotion- here’s the budget, no for the year….well the Wealdstone manager seems ok with it. Where are you going, come back…
I think Kev will be here next season hopefully having been supported in the first uninterrupted full summer for some time and with a sensible budget
PS I know my career in satire is over before it even started…
Going to Forrest green apparently so that can hopefully make way for cardwell to come back to usAlex Reid, would work. Just recalled by Oldham from Wealdstone loan. Definitely worth paying the wages for.
We have to stop this nonsense about us having a mid or lower table budget. We currently have a top 7 playing budget. COSU are also investing plenty of money into other things off the pitch for a better more sustainable club. There is a strong budget in place for non playing too. Do you really think Maher, Currie, Bentley, Still etc are paid peanuts? We should be competitive now, certainly for the playoff push. Has it been perfect circumstances, no but enough with these untruths and excusesThey will have to up the budget...... doesn't need to be wrexham style or york per say but competitive top 7 budget. Jesus. Is there a player that isn't being hoovered up by them. Part of me wants them not to get promoted but I'd sooner the money backed clubs of FGR and York get promoted to hopefully make it a more level playing field next season.Going to Forrest green apparently so that can hopefully make way for cardwell to come back to us
Yep. Read that and that they spent 6.9 million on wages to get out of the NL.When we talk about investing money into the club. It is sobering to read that the owners of Wrexham are £8 to 10 million out of pocket.
To get their money back.they must sell NOW.
Spot on, picture the scene:Only at Southend. We sign Kendall and it finally looks like we are looking like a normal club again, padding out the squad and having options. Few weeks later, Pepple gone, Walker injured and there's talk of recalling Wood who isn't even a striker.
Even one of our targets Adarkwa is out for months with a bad injury.
If we thought Maher was tetchy before, that interviewer better have his kevlar balaclava on tomorrow for the pre-match interview.
