Doesnt matter signing all of those unless you start to rebuild the midfield. Buying a striker but have no creativity is just madness. A creative centre mid and at least one winger with pace are desperately needed and have been all season.

Whilst the midfield does need work, you don’t turn down the opportunities to strengthen other areas whilst waiting to sort that one.

Why would we be after a winger when we don’t play with them? A wing back with pace, 100%. If we went for a winger, we’d have to sign two.

Justham needs 5 appearances to trigger an extra year on his existing deal. Daggers want that reduced as he is a top earner, we don’t want that triggered as would mean a larger fee for us (or someone else as we arent the only ones interested) and Justham is keen on a move so doesn’t want the clause triggered.

Therefore, I’d like to think, Justham will be a Shrimper before 5 games as that suits everyone.

As we know, we have been after Justham for a couple of seasons. This would be an improvement in the squad and I think Collin could do with an experienced GK to learn off. His improvement under Dave Martin was obvious to see and think EJ would bring him on.

I think we can spend wages better elsewhere than on Justham. Collin is a great keeper at this level and realistically we can’t have both.

Watched him recently against Barnet and he was awful. Cost his team at least two goals when 3-1 up and lost the game 4-3. Not the keeper he was when we were first interested.

Maybe the case on that occasion. But doubt JS, Cosu and Kev would be spending a wage on him if they didnt believe in him and what he can offer. Last week Kendall was the 'why are we signing this guy' and being written off before hed even kicked a ball. They clearly still dont trust Collin but wither way we need at least two keepers and at the moment we have one. It may work out it may not, but we are where we are at the moment. bringing him in may actually be the boost Collin needs. His best period playing for the club was when Dave Martin was with us. Justham is younger and still playing so potentially offers more than Martin did when he first came to the club. He hadnt played for 3-4 seasons

I'd take Justham over Collin any day of the week. Would have liked him a couple of years earlier, but I'll take it now if it is on offer.

Really, Justham hasn't looked good either time I have seen him at Roots Hall. Collin hasn't gone backwards, but if he is to have competition it would need to be an upgrade on Justham.

This. Think we have some good players e.g. Coker but it is about getting the right blend on the pitch. I have been disappointed with Moncur to date - I had hoped he would be the "key" to a balanced midfield that can be both solid & fluid ...... [ooh errr mrs]

A real midfield leader like Timlin would be on my shopping list.

we only have one keeper! i would say we need a minimum two. The Lincoln lad wont be coming back so leaves just the young keeper as cover. I would say it is defo a priority

I just think 'keepers are extremely plentiful and in an emergency can be brought in on short notice

lets see, i was told differently at the weekend. If Jeacock was coming back then there would be little point in the justham rumour being true unless Collin is on his way out
