Collin is the answer. Justham is just a better option for us right now and to help Collin going forward. As you say, it should benefit him. This signing is not a denigration of Collin whatsoever.

I dont think we need to move on entirely from MIley and Husin, but arguably they should now be less integral to the starting eleven. Agree on the others. Refresh needed.

Not bridge? Arguably one of the biggest passengers. If he weren’t a southend fan fans would have wanted him replaced by now.

I really hope it happens. Would do wonders for Collin and with the signings of Justham and Kendall, it feels like the recruitment model is getting back on its feet. That would be two long term targets over the line, which is a huge step in the right direction.

not a fan of Justham after the way he celebrated D&Rs goals against us earlier this season.

He thought he’d saved a last minute penalty in the WC final the way he was giving it

prize bellend - IMO only of course

Goalkeepers can play into their late thirties IF they have kept themselves in shape (a case in point being Neville Southall who did not) and what is long term in football nowadays? Two seasons? He can play until end of 2027 at this level no problem. Collin is a baby in goalkeeper terms and will still have a potential decade in the game after Justham's two years... Could be a very astute signing.

The only way Collin gets better is by playing. We have a goal keeper coach. Justham won't be cheap wages wise, don't see the point in signing him unless Collin is off?

So on our wish list for starting XI is:

- Imposing CB good with bringing ball out (tricky)
- Commanding front footed CM
- Energetic lump of a forward who can challenge for everything in the air and runs the channels

Anything else?

Doesn’t feel so of Kev’s going to stick with his current game-plan.
