I think the #8 position is the most difficult to recruit to. There’s so much these players have to do, that they’re very difficult profiles to find.
This is why Husin gets picked at the moment. He uses 3 of those 4 requirements. He presses wide spaces, is good in duels and keeps the possession. Problem is, he isn't contributing to the final 3rd. This isn't a huge problem when Coker is playing in the other 8 role because he contributes to the final 3rd, but when he isn't playing, we have nothing coming from either of the number 8's in the final 3rd.I think the #8 position is the most difficult to recruit to. The no 8 for Yeovil looked good, but I think maybe not a leader type.
Mancini at H/pool is very good BUT seemingly injury nightmare.
Kev is right to keep looking
As you say, Mancini is exceptional, and should be playing 1 or 2 levels up, but just can’t stay fit, hence why he is at Hartlepool.
Pedder still hasn't found a club. I wonder if we can tempt him back?Kev missed out on his top target due to the embargo, I’m not sure on who it was, but Pedder (that was his name, wasn’t it?) & Moncur weren’t choices 1 & 2.

Exactly. And then it puts more pressure on the strikers to score the goals. This is why Husin gets picked at the moment. He uses 3 of those requirements. Interestingly, Wes probably only offered 1 of the 4 requirements, attacking the final third, but it's probably the attribute we currently miss the most.
Trying to find a player that can press, keep the ball and attack the final 3rd in equal measure is no easy task.
This step 2 player we are supposedly after, is it a striker?
Playing Mystic Meg. I reckon our front line next year will be Kendall, Walker, Adarkwa, Step 2 striker.Yes.
I think you always need 5. Managers always like to swap both forwards and likely one will be injured.Playing Mystic Meg. I reckon our front line next year will be Kendall, Walker, Adarkwa, Step 2 striker.
I’d like that to be Danny Waldron but not sure that’s in the thinking of our management team.I think you always need 5. Managers always like to swap both forwards and likely one will be injured.
But equally it could indicate that EJ has had a change of mind and is staying. Both interpretations are possible I suppose.Just seen Justhams agent posting on Twitter footballs a funny old game so looks like he’s leaving
I don’t think EJ has a choice sounds like he’s being forced outBut equally it could indicate that EJ has had a change of mind and is staying. Both interpretations are possible I suppose.
Right, so I HATE TC9, but he did get one thing right here. It would be a step up
