Transfer News and Gossip Transfer Rumours Thread 2024/2025.

Transfer news
I think the #8 position is the most difficult to recruit to. There’s so much these players have to do, that they’re very difficult profiles to find.

This is why Husin gets picked at the moment. He uses 3 of those 4 requirements. He presses wide spaces, is good in duels and keeps the possession. Problem is, he isn't contributing to the final 3rd. This isn't a huge problem when Coker is playing in the other 8 role because he contributes to the final 3rd, but when he isn't playing, we have nothing coming from either of the number 8's in the final 3rd.

Interestingly, Wes probably only offered 1 of the 4 requirements, attacking the final third, but it's probably the attribute we currently miss the most.

Trying to find a player that can press, keep the ball and attack the final 3rd in equal measure is no easy task.

The no 8 for Yeovil looked good, but I think maybe not a leader type.
Mancini at H/pool is very good BUT seemingly injury nightmare.
Kev is right to keep looking

Kev missed out on his top target due to the embargo, I’m not sure on who it was, but Pedder (that was his name, wasn’t it?) & Moncur weren’t choices 1 & 2.

As you say, Mancini is exceptional, and should be playing 1 or 2 levels up, but just can’t stay fit, hence why he is at Hartlepool.

Pedder still hasn't found a club. I wonder if we can tempt him back?

Exactly. And then it puts more pressure on the strikers to score the goals.

100% being forced out to save a few bob, his agent is a Daggers fan and he does not want to leave but has had little choice on the matter with a mortgage to pay and family to feed.
