SUFC: The Future The regeneration of Roots Hall

Our hopes and visions for the rebirth of Southend United, plus any plans published by the consortium for discussion
IIrc cup games and reserve games were included in the season ticket booklets. The booklets where the league games were numbered and the cup games went alphabetically listed at the rear of the book.
We just showed the ST booklet for the reserve games which only had East Stand open.
Yes you are correct and you had to take the book with you to the game every time as you never knew what number was going to be used for which game.

Blimey, I am glad was remembering correctly.
And for swimming it was also a book of 10? tickets that got torn out as used - Hi Tech stuff but it worked.

It could be done back then with 30,000 arriving for a night game. We should look to switch to some Friday night games v the likes Fylde, Altrincham, Rochdale etc where there are under 100 away fans. We could easily find room for them in the East Blues as an example.

Rather than a flat no away fans atmosphere. Seasos could transfer their ticket for a night of nostalgia and you 'youngsters' could join us for the joy of knowing what a Friday night under lights in the North was really all about.
Oldham done this last year, any team which brought less than 100 fans they stuck them in the main stand to get them away from behind the goal (it’s probably cheaper as the stand doesn’t need to be open) but also gives the home team an advantage imo

So is this like an actual screen?

Like, is my joke of seeing replays actually going to come true?
It's an interactive screen so very possible. I assume it will have a lot of advertising. It wasn't an easy task building it as a whole new welded frame had to be built from the start. Elonex specialise in these types of screens and it looks very much like they paid for it with their name emblazoned above it. It would obviously need video cameras around the ground to capture such moments.

Somewhere in the ground there will have to be somebody to programme and control it, its another added form of income which is great.
