AB De Villiers i believe ... would be a fantastic signing IMO, i note we have fewer batting bonus points than any other side in Div 2 (most bowling points mind) but the addition of AB will surely help rectify this

Blimey that would be an awesome signing. Having watched his test debut (against England in 2004) AB has developed into a fantastic cricketer and is getting better all the time. He seems like the type that really wants to better himself and so I would think he would put everything into a county stint rather than just be in it for the money.

Yep, agree with that ... they were talking about it on the radio last night but the reception was lousy so i don't know whether they thought it was hearsay or solid fact

Indeed he would be a great signing. Has he played county cricket before?

The Pakistani's are on tour. I think we might be going with JP Duminy though - from a couple of whispers last night - as he is partial to a bit of spin bowling himself!

Very good performance last night. Pettini started off excellently and made Cook and Ravi look rather average!! Morgan and Mawan nearly took the game from under our noses as we had the game wrapped up at 90 odd for 5 and had these two stayed in any longer, they'd have reached 170 easily and that would have put us under a fair bit of pressure. Sussex won again and Kent beat Hampshire so qualifying still looks possible!

Further to this - Danny has been included in the squad which travels to Sri Lanka for a month and i believe he will be unavailable for July. Hopefully back in time for the game/s back at Garon!

It's looking like Sundays clash with Hampshire could be a virtual knock out match, and with Englands Women up against the Aussies at Chelmsford on Monday and Tuesday both live on Sky i wonder what the chances are that it'll be on the box ... not that it bothers me greatly as i have tickets for this one :angel:

That would be perfect - as wanted to go but am on holiday so if its on Sky that will be a right touch!

Fingers crossed it is AB de Villiers - he's a class act, not just with the bat but also in the field.

Duminy wouldn't be bad either. I'd be less keen if it was someone like Amla or McKenzie although both would probably be successful in division 2.

5:30. Middlesex are still winless, which is surprising given how well they did last year. I saw them play Hants at Uxbridge a few weeks ago and they were useless.
