What a stupid format for the competition. Leads to loads of games with no bearing on anything as teams have little to play for with only one going through.
 
Warwickshire today in the 4 day game. Bottom 2. nothing less than a big win will do if we're going to avoid relegation is this is our penultimate game whereas teams around us have three or four games left.

Yep, the England team have looked a bit more fallible since then as well!!

6 down just before lunch. The County Championship is upside down.......
 
I guess we have improved, we were 91-8 against Warwickshire last time.

After we beat Notts back in July, with 2 games against Warwickshire and one against Kent to come we looked well set to push on and maybe finish 3rd or 4th. Certainly be safe at any rate. Amazing how things can change.
