We were not at our normal T20 best yesterday..and Bravo was the worst waste of 10k ever.

Bravo was on a bit of a hiding to nothing.

He was run out by a brilliant bit of fielding and he bowled at the start and end of the innings when batsmen swing more freely.

Note the other international seamers on show yesterday also got carted about a bit. Broad, Sidebottom and Nannes.

Essex play Somerset in Colchester today, with only 3 games left a win is vital if we're going to avoid relegation but I'm not exactly confident. Hopefully the Colchester wicket is a bit better than Garons!

McGain has returned home with Kaneria now back.

We also have back to back CB40 games against Derbyshire and Gloucestershire on Sunday and Monday, wins there would give us a very good chance of qualifying for the semi finals, particularly if we can beat Gloucestershire. It's the three groupe winners plus the best runner up so we probably can't afford to lose another game.

Somerset won the toss and decided to bat ( a good decision??? ) ...................they are 44-3, with Trescothick, Suppiah and Kieswetter all back in the pavillion.
