As it's the Oval I don't see any reason why we shouldn't be able to pay on the gate.
Count me in mate.

Cool, been a good while since i've been to The Oval so i'm really looking forward to this one, can't leave Southend till Daniel gets out of school so i imagine its going to be a bit of a dash to get there on time but hopefully we'll make it

A bit of info about the K*nt game ...

Match starts at 5:30
Fairly standard T20 prices of £20 adults £10 under 16s entry

I emailled Surrey CCC today asking if all stands are open and about getting tickets "on the gate" however with them hosting England v Australia today i don't envisage i'll get a response for a day or two, i'll share what they say as and when

Surrey emailled back at 7:15 last night, which i thought was top level service on a high profile match day

They said there had been very little interest in the fixture (hardly surprising IMO) but that the whole ground would be open so i'm taking that as pay on the gate
Essex fans are not permitted in The Pavillion or Laker Stands, which you'll know if you attempt to buy tickets online as they aren't for sale anyway, and neither are concourse tickets (which are the upper levels of that huge arch type stand)

I can never remember which stand is which. What stand do we want to be behind the bowler's arm? The Pavilion End and what Stand?

Link to the ground layout Matt ..

On the occassions i've been i've usually sat in the Peter May or Blocks 16-18 (which is where if you look outside you'll see The Cricketer pub .. perhaps a meeting point for those able to get there at a reasonable hour)

I was hoping as its likely to be a fairly small crowd that we'll be free to wander at will (i'm pretty certain at Lords for a league game you can go in any stand except the Warner and Pavillion)

Thought i'd give this a bump, however with events as they are at Ron Towers i imagine a few may put off the cricket to attend the Ipsh!t friendly

Another cracking win yesterday, Mickleburgh doing more in 8 balls than he did in 40 odd last week to see us home with a ball to spare against Hampshire. With the big names still missing we're doing well to hold onto 2nd.

How long is Napes out for?

I went today. Arrived at 21-2. The outside edge was busy today by our boys. Phillips looked good with the bat and that was it.

He also bowled a 17 ball over in an ODI once. He'd fit in well with Danish's alleged spot-fixing with the ability to bowl that many wides and no-balls!
