Thanks Kev - but is a new manager needed?

You realise that this attacking free flowing football that allows Moncur to score and shoot is currently bottom of the table - and was generally regarded as the worst team to visit RH for some time.
They are not bottom because of Moncur. His arrival there has sparked things up but almost certainly too late to save them. We never got the best out of him because of Maher's deadbeat tactics.

Maher should go now, let Currie take over as interim manager for the foreseeable future, maybe till the seasons end lets see how he fares before seeking another manager .
I don't know what the dynamic is between the three of them. Maher is the manager so you have to assume he has final say but I reckon Currie has a big influence too. Bentley perhaps less so.

I think my interim manager is Bentley, and Currie can go with Maher.

There should not be any question about it after yesterday's debacle, Maher should take full responsibility and fall on his sword. Of course he won't and this is where COSU should take a grip. We can now start to see the disadvantages of rule by committee as I expect there are divisions amongst them as to the best course of action and the supposed head man JR seems to have faded into the background with no public statements for some time. At least with Martin we knew where the buck stopped but the cloak of anonymity seems an effective way at present of nullifying criticism. They need to address these issues now and forget about sideshows and diversionary tactics like reconfiguring the North Bank and improving the choice of food and drink. It was there for all to see yesterday, the perfect embodiment of all that is wrong on the pitch.

I also have to say, having watched football for many years, and read Shrimperzone this morning, it's rare for a manager to come back from the position Maher & Co find themselves in now.
What position would that be?
Two defeats in 11; embargoed in the summer; the Kensdale/Cardwell departures; the undoubted success recalled by his club; current NL manager of the season.
While the Zone gets read, I doubt very much COSU will take the 'Maher Out' brigade at its word. After all, it's not unanimous, eh?
Cold light of day, and all that...

Interesting...
Let's see, Martin was good because there was only one of him
Getting different opinions about the same thing is bad: as in COSU
After one bad defeat, Maher should fall on his sword
You want regular 'statements' from JR, about what exactly, may I ask?
Improving facilities at our home is diversionary ie they're doing it to steer folk away from two defeats in 11?
Have I summed this up correctly?

Look at our next 8-9 games, against teams that are not setting this league alight just like us, if we win most with a couple of draws then Kev will be a hero again, things can change so quickly in this game, I feel a good run coming on.

No.

I would be amazed if COSU fired Maher. He is well connected.

Whilst I can’t stand his style of play and have actually stopped attending matches as the journey outweighs the benefit, I do believe he deserves an uninterrupted pre season with suitable recruitment before any decision is made.

However, it does amaze me that with 5 senior coaches our football is still so damned awful, predictable, slow and turgid.

If the football continues to be so poor to watch more will follow your lead and make the choice not to go and that will decide what COSU do next. Not past games, past seasons, embargoes, the fact Kev is a stand up bloke etc. COSU are business men.

14th in the National league, poor home performances and rigid tactics.

I'm not Maher out (yet) he deserves an uninterrupted transfer window. But after 20 minutes yesterday it was clear the game plan and tactics wasn't working. All of our substitutions were like for like changes and didn't change the system or try something different for the entire match.

Yesterday he was starting to lose the crowd. Approaching the West after the game an array of boos met him and the squad when walking around and they quickly moved on.

Is now the time to sack Maher, maybe/probably not. But something needs to change in some respect. We didn't lay a glove on Barnet and even at 2-0 down really didn't have a go at them.

I agree, but your rational approach isn't that leading to my comments.

They will do when the match day income starts to fall

Of course. When it continues there's food for thought.
But some of the postings want Maher gone now, despite all that's gone before.
On that premise, Man City should be sacking Pep with only three wins from the last seven, not counting the Salford FA Cup thrashing.
