Thanks Kev - but is a new manager needed?

Should Maher go?

I quite like him but can't really see that happening now. Maybe that's 1 for the summer if we decide to change then.

The unfortunate truth is that we have had to trade any hope of promotion in the next 5-10 years in return for the benefit of survival as a Club.
Massively depressing when you consider we have a larger average attendance than many League One clubs, and are routinely getting penetrated by clubs with Isthmian League followings. Many more years of this mediocre crap to come I'm afraid.

That's cheered me up no end reading that, not!

Just seeing it written down makes me understand that were in this league for a while yet

If COSU really can’t afford to pay more for players or sack the managing team etc then they should be looking for additional investment. What we’re watching now is dire. Maher is not the man to take us forward.

I just want to see some exciting, attacking football. I think many fans would be a lot happier in the same position as we are now If we at least had a go at teams. Moncur scored again today, he was exciting at first until he seemingly got the memo, that’s certainly how it feels. When both Waldron and Crowther came in, initially I thought they had a lot of potential, a few months later they’re a shadow of the players that arrived at the club. Maher and co should be improving these players but they seem to be regressing.

There are reasons for the poop on display.
Late takeover is a reason not an excuse, at one point there was no club. Hence no signings we actually targeted.
I need to reply emphasise how deep the Kensdale situation went. For a while Kev was having none of it, despite players stating what was going on, I genuinely believe the kick in the balls from kensdale was compounded by kevs initial inaction.
..which in a little way lost the dressing room for kev. Those heroic players of the embargo years are still here, however they are not performing anywhere near the same, in fact they've regressed a fair bit, however they got the well earned sort of sentimental contracts and here we are.
One of two things need to happen.
A true sweep of the entire Ron era playing set up..manager and players all gone a d rebuild. Or get rid of either the players or the manager.
Was kev the perfect wartime leader so to speak and not the man for the future?
I'm not sure what the answers are but dad is in his 60s travels down from Ipswich for every home game is a fanatical supporter...even he is struggling to get his butt down here as its so dire.

Maybe cosu can make it worth while for your Dad to come down? Would he be willing to try a stint at management? If so, he’s got my vote.

I think the fact we have only won 4 home games this season against Boston, Ebbsfleet (who are the bottom 2 sides), Eastleigh and Tamworth shows the home fans exactly what to expect each week. The crowds will start to drop dramatically if this continues and it becomes a double edge sword for COSU. Once it starts hitting them in the pocket things might change.
