Played against Col U in a friendly last summer, played LCB and is left footed. Very limited clips, but he looks comfortable on the ball and the type of player we want there. Will probably go to a League 1 club at least.

I am not sure Southend are still in the market for a fast, tall (6'4") striker who can score goals, but if they are the club might want to take a look at Stockport's Alex Reid. The arrival of Kyle Wootton at Stockport as well as existing forwards like Madden and Quigley means that Reid has fallen further down the pecking order and Stockport might now be willing to let Reid go.

I think we should look at these players for sure. They are trying to prove a point and have the potential to make some nice transfer profit. I asked Stan about this but he never responded to me.
 
Don't think we are going to make has many signings as people think,we will have to be patient,The management team wi be seeing what happens to players like lopta ,brunt,Neil if sheff Utd carnt find them all league clubs,we could see one or two back here but, that will be very close to the start of the season if that happens.

I think room will be left to add two maybe three late on. But I think the goal is to get the bulk of it done early. A lot of work has been done to identify good realistic targets well in advance.

Getting people in through the door for pre-season and friendlies to get used to the systems and how we want to play could have a big impact on how we start the season. That in terms impacts confidence, not playing "catch up", drives revenues/gates etc. etc.

Thought that might’ve been the case, would be a strange move to turn down a professional club if he didn’t. Unless it was for personal/location reasons.
