I’m pleased we are getting a loanee in. I remember reading a while back that the teams near the top in this league tend to be the ones with the best loanees. It kind of makes sense as we are so far down the leagues, there are a lot to choose from. Anyway, I’d expect it to be palace as the news seemed to come in the last couple of days, but I have no inside knowledge

Today we will announce the signing of Hyde and the next @StanCollymore who will fire the goals to achieve a new NL goals record in an unbeaten season during which Hyde will score the winner against Wrexham after Dalby misses a penalty. I’m not usually ITK but on this I have a reliable source.
....and, believe me, we'd still find something to moan about on hère.

I wouldn’t mind if it was a young Sheffield United striker - it would be a sign of continuing good relationships between the clubs, which could be handy in other matters.

Antwoine Hackford? Made his Sheff Utd debut in the PL as a 16 year old and had a short loan spell at Alfreton last season.

Another player - just as with Dalby - that didn’t get the recognition he deserved at the time.

Really. I thought he was very decent. He was just a little raw and needed a few solid seasons to develop.

Isn't he mainly used as a sub in wigans side?

It would be nice to think a proven striker in his early 30s and a hungry young loanee would keep everyone happy....or of course everyone unhappy. I wonder which is more likely?...
What I’d actually like is an early 20s forward about to hit his prime with us and under contract for those prime years.

He could be backed up by an early 30s or a loanee.

People have stated that Hyde didn't want to come. I think it was more a case of his money dropping and getting the right deal from Wrexham and us to make sure its financially viable. If he stays fit he will score plenty I'm sure.

This is odd. Rather than getting depressed about losing a decent player, I'm quite excited to see this deal go through. Almost crushing a grape

Some people thought we could do better at the time. His goals would have kept us in the FL that season, without doubt, but some people were glad to see the back of him.

He came on as a sub against Preston the other day. Still only 24-years-old, so not quite in his prime yet. He’ll do well in the EFL.

I’m not sure where the ‘Hyde not wanting to come’ rumour started, but from what I’ve heard it’s completely false. Actually, it’s quite the opposite, he’s looking forward to joining, so I’m told.

The stumbling block was never on him personally, but an issue between the football clubs.

I guess that’s what was tried with Kelly. If the next option along those lines isn’t good enough, then take a loanee in my opinion

Yes, it's disappointing but at the same time creates an opportunity to try something different. It's not unheard of for teams to actually improve after selling an important player,

TBF I think thats what the club were trying to do with Rutherford and Josh Kelly, and will hope they have done with Wreh. Not sure the whiteboard has too many viable options down that road left..regrettably.
