If Hyde has gotten over his injury, Kev and team want him and he’s happy coming, is on a one year deal plus one year option on wages within our structure and we still get ~£100k plus sell ons then I’ll actually be quite pleased with it now the dust is settling.

We’re not going to find a better striker at this stage of the season on a perm, and as others have said many times he actually fits our style of play better than Dalby.

Intrigued to hear who this mysterious second player is though now.

As the article from CP says, I’m expecting to see a loanee centre forward arrive, and hopefully Hyde gets over the line too.

Maher always wanted an additional striker this summer, as his pursuit of Rutherford and Kelly shows. Losing Dalby means we now want two. Hyde is hopefully one, so another to follow.

Let's have a think about available loan strikers who could be of interest. I've mentioned Tyrese Omotoye before, he's had a few loan spells without getting much of a goal return so far and it might suit Norwich to put him down a step lower to get him firing? A good player who just needs to click.

On the evidence of some of the pre season games, Palace in particular, we are desperate for a decent CB. We still seem to massively struggle to defend set pieces. Hopefully Lomas will be the very decent CB we are all hoping he is but if we are going to be challenging for the top spots this season then a decent CB will be a must!!
