If Wreh plays tommrow and does well as he did at col u when he came on .Then surely he should be given a year .I doubt he will be asking a kings ransom in wages .

I was thinking the same about Wreh, Possibly 6 months? I Would like to see more of him. Kev and Co know best and probably have 6 good eyes between our Management Group on Wrehs capabilities

They will know as we do that sometimes triallists can appear to do quite well in a few games but then ??

Equally the season before in this league there was an array of high goalscorers who were on LOAN

Silly money for a player who has essentially had 1 good season. Look at a number of players we’ve had who’ve scored that many in a season but then not kicked on, either with us or at other clubs. Gavin Tomlin and Elliot Benyon a few examples of 1 season wonders we’ve had on our books.

I’d have loved to sign him, as he looked a quality player, but if he failed to hit that return again next season I’m sure we’d be on the managements back for throwing around that kind of money.

Being realistic, we’re probably not going to go up this year; I’d rather we splashed out on a few others like Jack Wood, where the resale potential is a much greater percentage a few years down the line.

We offered the same amount ? In a different way, and this wasn’t acceptable to his club. Surely if he wanted to be here that much he could have played hard ball?

Yeah I know, I amongst others, have explained that.

If he was told there was no way they’d accept a bid from us, what is he supposed to do? He wanted to step up to full time. He wants to get into the league, and he will have a good chance with Solihull, and he would have got a massive pay increase. I don’t blame him in the slightest when the only choices he had was stick where he was or Solihull.

He would have wanted to be here, but a deal couldn’t be agreed between the Clubs.
Hi BW2 thanks for your input recently. Do we have another striker option that has not been a trialist with us.
Just wondering where do we stand as if a potential target is not in our sights.

I'm starting to think there's not really a top quality NL striker within our reach now.

Perhaps a decent Premier League/Championship loanee is the answer. Stan will certainly have the contacts for those.

Plus get Wreh signed up.
I’m on board with that. Save the money to try and get Lopata in, get Wreh in for a year + year option and bring in a loanee from our contacts.

The disappointment of missing out on Mussa, was quickly abated by the signing of Fonguck, let's hope we can successfully switch targets as quickly this time. Junior Morias anyone?
