The disappointment of missing out on Mussa, was quickly abated by the signing of Fonguck, let's hope we can successfully switch targets as quickly this time. Junior Morias anyone?
He's about the last bloke I would want at the club. A genuinely nasty piece of work, seriously hampered by being shorter even than Callum Powell. He'd be good at corners mind you.

Yeah I know, I amongst others, have explained that.

If he was told there was no way they’d accept a bid from us, what is he supposed to do? He wanted to step up to full time. He wants to get into the league, and he will have a good chance with Solihull, and he would have got a massive pay increase. I don’t blame him in the slightest when the only choices he had was stick where he was or Solihull.
All we can do is note the date 29 August 2022 - Maidenhead at Roots Hall. Lets take the **** out of that Southend-hating Wet Sham fan and utter fool Devonshire… firstly with stick from the stands, and also by thrashing his muppets out of sight. With any luck they will be relegated this year and the flat cap wearing ****er will be joining the dole queue.

I hope the money "saved" from the no deal is enough to stop fruit drinks, pay staff and can be an emergency for the signings that may/will be needed when games and injuries and shortcomings are exposed once competitive fixtures start.
Let us remember there is no transfer window.

It’s won’t happen trust me, hope he & Solihull fail, long as we get out of this league.

Tyrese Omotoye on loan from Norwich maybe? Hasn't prospered in his loan spells yet but a good player who just needs to get a few senior goals. Might need to drop down a level for his next spell.

I do feel we will find goals easier to come by this season. Mooney obviously knows where the net is and Powell looks to have benefitted from his summer efforts to work on his finishing. I also see a decent contribution from midfield with Noor, Bridge and Fonguck more than capable of getting among the goals especially if we play with an attacking intent. Dalby I do rate but acknowledge he needs to be more productive. Weah we should definitely take a punt on and given the injury prone nature of Murphy and Cardwell yes ideally let's hope we can attract a proven goal scorer to the ranks. I just feel that a natural CB with a decent level of experience is required and arguably more of a priority to have in the building before the season starts

done. Gutted in truth. When I heard we were interested a number of weeks back, this was the one I hoped we would get done. But we couldn’t. That’s where we are. We move on. Solihull now have a forward line of Kelly, Dallas and Sbarra. Outrageously good. Hopefully we can find another top quality option.

Is he holding up that shirt as some kind of advice for Ron?
Hobson will make mincemeat of them three don’t you worry …

Sorry I got that the wrong way round

I think he might just surprise us all this season. And Maher might just settle with Kensdale Lomas and Hobson taking the three central defender roles. But I bet you're old softy at heart and you really want Shaun to do well. :Winking:
