You do spout some tosh on almost every single post. Solihull are much better off than us financially and have wealthy backers and even when we were in league 2 this was the case. Just because they haven’t been in the league doesn’t mean they aren’t in a better position than us in numerous other ways. Its sad when we cant compete with clubs like Solihull. I bet we would have never believed that a few years ago
Add to that list the likes of Borehamwood as well. people assume that just cause they get small gates and never been a league club we shouldnt lose out to them. If it was choice by the player for example we may stand a chance, but if its an issue over fee to be paid we will lose out and i guess like Mussa maybe wages as well. A few hundred quid a week to these lads is a lot of moneyYou do spout some tosh on almost every single post. people still say we are a big club bet any sollihull supporters would fall over laughing at that . we might have good support but with our 50s football ground falling down and finance problems i don`t think so . we might be a big club with league football and a decent ground but seems a long way off .Its sad when we cant compete with clubs like Solihull. Same could've been said of the likes of Fleetwood even when we were in League One. Ten years earlier I hadn't even heard of them! You do spout some tosh on almost every single post. In comparison though a massive gamble. I'll be honest the so called 'gems' of years gone by have left me jaded (pun intended)We still have Chris Wreh. Has all the attributes to be as effective as Kelly, and will be cheaper. The amount of money needed to prize Kelly can definitely be well spent elsewhere. Expect this to get done sooner rather than later.
Why? Because they're doing us a favour by giving us some inside info. They don't owe us anything. In return, they're on the end of sarcastic comments, singled out by members of this forum and, when they're imparting info some people don't like, they get called **** stirrers. Why? I mean no disrespect to anyone when I say this but on anonymous forums you will get ‘keyboard warriors’, trolls and even simply differences of opinions. If a couple of people doubted what they were being told then it’s to be expected but to then go silent seems a little excessive.
I read the post you are referring to as being just an observation. You do spout some tosh on almost every single post. Who is that next to Noor?
Wreh, Akanbi?....or someone else?
Frame looks a bit slight for those two, who appear quite stocky.
Actually, this season hasn't even started and we've missed 2 sitters in the 90th!For the second time this season lol
We offered more than the bid they accepted tho…..If we are to live within our means and avoid embargos, pay our way and improve our standing in the transfer market getting into a bidding war with several other clubs which will almost inevitably end with a price at the very limit or beyond the players worth doesn't sound a brilliant idea. I imagine we hoped the emotional draw (family connection) of the move would get us the player at a do-able price but the selling club want the best deal for them and if we can't afford that then so be it.
Then something about the other bids is financially more attractive. More money up front or whatever. I don't believe a club like Maidenhead with their crumbling old stadium living hand to mouth would not take the best deal available even if they hated our guts.We offered more than the bid they accepted tho…..
Think you described SUFC there...with their crumbling old stadium living hand to mouth
Are we talking Freddy at Luton 2006 style?Would love this to come off. But think we've missed a sitter in the 90th minute.
Exactly... we have to leverage every last penny out of every deal and so do they.Think you described SUFC there...
It’s didn’t help that we haven’t have any success in League and no cup run, it’s didn’t help we keep getting knocked out at the first attempt. An cup run can be an difference between signing decent players in or end up in embargo’s. As for Solihull, they are too far away, location wise and their owner will get fed up with the club if they keep getting poor attendances & pull out.If we are to live within our means and avoid embargos, pay our way and improve our standing in the transfer market getting into a bidding war with several other clubs which will almost inevitably end with a price at the very limit or beyond the players worth doesn't sound a brilliant idea. id still take roots hall over the **** hole that Maidenhead play in. Dreadful groundThink you described SUFC there...
