Seems odd you are suddenly saying this when it’s been mentioned on here for weeks now. I note also Chris Phillips has been very careful about what he has or hasn’t published and normally when he does regarding transfers it normally ends pretty well.

Which is why SZ is the best place for all your transfer information. You might have to wade through pages of bollocks. But thats no different to reading his articles and wading through the adverts.

straight question.. just weird to my mind that, especially after Colchester game, one had impressed Kev, so I kinda thought a deal would follow... i now its not as simple as that, but surprised

If we can get Kelly I think all the efforts would be there if we fail then we would obviously take up something else ie trialist maybe

Perhaps talks are happening with one of the trialists. Even more so if the Kelly approach is dead in the water (which looks likely unfortunately).

Might also be waiting until the other trialist/s get more game time v Gillingham to see which to go with.

Chris might have only just been told officially that we are in for him, and that's why he posted the story. Definitely does not mean that @Magnum PI is wrong. Perhaps the financial issues recently have bitten us and the club in question would rather not now deal with us? You know our reputation has really taken a battering when one Sunday league team would rather accept a lower offer from another Sunday league team than do business with us.

This is correct, I heard any of the good work that Tom and team have put in has been well and truly ripped apart by the latest embargo that we were in ..

I would have thought they are being held into until the perm arrival ? If no perm arrival within the next 4-5 days we may see the lad on trial stay

Not sure why people are saying it is dead in the water. One poster has said he isn’t coming (not sure how reliable magnum is) but all the well known ITKs on here liked a comment about Kelly last night. As we found out with Mussa it isn’t dead until he signs for someone.
