Would be an amazing signing but just can’t see it happening.

The competition is most likely coming from the EFL, we have just come out of an embargo which is most likely obviously down to not being able to pay tax, so what’s the likeliness of being able to pull a player like Kelly with strong wages? Naught.

It’s a dream, and it’s still a possibility , but it depends on how much Kev, Stan and then team can sell the project to him, he may see the team as high potential for him and the club to succeed but it’s whether he would really want to to stay in the National League, don’t get me wrong, he got double figures and I’m sure he was a great player last year, but he’s not established himself with consistency yet either, so who knows.

Maybe that was the point of the Sponsors meeting....."listen boys and girls, as you know our owner is brassic at this time of year, any chance you can dig deep and buy us a striker please?"

We offered more … but guess what? The Maidenhead chairman likes to get paid… move on plenty more irons in the fire. Reputation is being repaired but still sadly a long way to go.
