Not something you need to worry your head about though is it mate? We've signed 5 decent players so far and will probably bring some more in. If we have missed out on Mussa then we'll move on to other targets.
As for next season, no doubt we can have a conversation about progress and success when we all get going.
Do you seriously have nothing better to do than advise us on here. Do you have no Daggers mate that will have a chat. For what’s it’s worth I love coming to your ground, last season apart mind, great little club with real hardcore support apart from the new Daggers youth who want to try it on! Wish you luck next season but not at our expenseTrust me I'm not worried was asking a genuine question that it all seems to have gone quiet on the Ron Martin front now you have a couple old school players running the show. No doubt you’ll do better next season have you down as an outside chance of play offs if you manage to get a striker in, you need 80+ goals to do anything in this league.
Things like this happen. A few famous ones over the years was Robinho to Chelsea but signed for Man City and Nabil Fekir to Liverpool. Both were in their respective ‘new clubs’ training gear. Oh well, we’ll move in to next target
You do realise the majority of the fanbase still does not like him right? No one is protesting out of respect of allowing our actually good management and team to do their thing, without distraction. This summer still hasn't been problem free and that comes straight from the top. Just because you do not visibly see fans protesting and marching down the street, doesn't mean we like him and it's happy ever after.Trust me I'm not worried was asking a genuine question that it all seems to have gone quiet on the Ron Martin front now you have a couple old school players running the show. Ron Martin will be going nowhere until the Fossetts Farm project gets a good way down the road.Trust me I'm not worried was asking a genuine question that it all seems to have gone quiet on the Ron Martin front now you have a couple old school players running the show. While Ron still owns the club he isn't running any aspect of the day to day anymore which is where he was a disaster and hence since we've changed considerably on and off the field. Don't get me wrong I'd prefer if he had no attachment at all with the club.Trust me I'm not worried was asking a genuine question that it all seems to have gone quiet on the Ron Martin front now you have a couple old school players running the show. Thanks for the update. Enjoy your trip.A little update before I go away tomorrow.
It does appear that our “good news” next week won’t be happening, and he’ll be signing for Dagenham. I’m trying to find out what exactly has happened there, because he trained with us, he did his photos, and even the post joining “can’t wait to get started” interview. As far as I was away, he’d signed the deal, but trying to get to the bottom of that.
I know his agent hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory here, and hasn’t made many friends in Essex with his antics.
Also, the striker, that move has stalled. The Club in question are asking for a six-figure fee, for someone whose deal expires at the end of the season. From what I gather, he was keen on us, and the personal terms/medical etc. would have been a formality. If this is something that can be resolved, remains to be seen. Does the player in question kick up a fuss his end, and that gets the deal through at a “reasonable” price? I don’t know. Do we revisit it in January, and hope for a knockdown price then? If we do, do we hold out on signing a new forward until then? Do we use the loan market for a stop gap signing? Or do we move onto another target and forget him? Time will tell.
Not the best update before I go away. However, as the deal with “good news” shows, things change very quickly in football. They say a week is a long time, but 24 hours is a long time in football. Hopefully there is some positive news before I return, but I gather these two were the “closest”.
There are other targets in mind for these positions, so this isn’t the end of the world. It’s a bump along the way.
Up The Shrimpers!
Six figure fee for someone at this level are you having a ****ing laugh!?A little update before I go away tomorrow.

Paul McCallum’s contract ends at the end of next season, what’s the odd Dag and Red are taking the **** there.
Clubs in league 1 and 2 can’t even pay that sort of money
Thanks for the update BW, have a good holiday

Cheek had a clause for another year that Bromley triggered I might be wrong thoCheeks contract ends this year, they wouldn’t be asking for a fee for him.
Well he might have to if he’s found guilty when he goes to trialRon Martin will be going nowhere until the Fossetts Farm project gets a good way down the road.
Apologies, yes he has one year left but can't personally see it being Wealdstone forcing that amount of money. In Wealdstone’s press release they state his got another year
Truthfully, I would be amazed if the trial ever takes place. And even if it does get listed it will be years I reckon.Well he might have to if he’s found guilty when he goes to trial
