Who's to say jack wood or Jon Benton can't step up.
Hopefully they can. Both show huge promise.Who's to say jack wood or Jon Benton can't step up.
Having seen Dallas & Luque play for Weymouth I’d be happy with either but Luque is more of a wideman than a striker, Iaciofano just signed a new deal with Oxford. I’d love us to sign Rodrigues but think he would cost a lot and can’t see him leaving Notts CountyAnyone any ideas on this striker we’re after? It’s not Kelly, McCullum, Cheek or Rutherford we’re led to believe (although you wouldn’t rule anything out after the Mussa situation!).
So who is it?
I‘ll start by saying this is as thin and one-dimensional an analysis as it’s possible to do. Simply looking at who scored a decent amount at NL, NLS, and NLN last year as a good place to start.
Looking at NLN and NLS goalscorers last year, most have moved this Summer. A few others are over 30 so could be targets but I sense we’re looking for someone younger.
I’ve omitted any that have already moved clubs this Summer, got promoted from the NL last year or are with the likes of Wrexham.
Looking at attributes to see who might be the best fit for what we need will take a bit longer but here are a couple of possibles:
- Joe Iaciofano, Oxford City. 23 years old, 22 goals in NLS last year;
- Joan Luque, Maidstone. 30 years old, 20 goals in NLS last year in 33 games (but 0 in 10 for Weymouth in NL also last season);
- Jack Barham, Maidstone. 26 years old, 18 goals in 27 games last season. No particular acheivements before then however;
- Nick Haughton, AFC Fylde. 27 years old, 26 goals in 41 games last season - but no record to speak of at all before then.
- Glen Taylor, Spennymoor. 32 and no great record but did score 25 in 42 last year;
- Ruben Rodrigues, Notts County. 25 years old, 18 goals in 40 games last year - and a strong record in earlier years; or
- Andrew Dallas, Solihull. 22 years old, 19 goals in 43 games last year.
I’d choose Rodrigues from the list, but Iaciofano and Dallas also look decent.
He will be seeing 2k away end at his own home ground!If he chooses to sign for Dagenham and play in their hovel infront of 1800 fans every week, rather than the Essex San siro infront of 8k, then they are welcome to him.
I don’t think anyone disregarded Kelly or Cheek I said No to them not being the player we were meant to have agreed to sign at the time
Makes no sense does it, he must not have signed the contract in the first place.What I am confused about is if Mussa has signed for Dagenham. How have those ITK got it so wrong. He has signed, photos taken, video seen etc was what was said. Is it those claiming to be ITK aren’t or is this latest stuff Bull**** and he has signed???

Not something you need to worry your head about though is it mate? We've signed 5 decent players so far and will probably bring some more in. If we have missed out on Mussa then we'll move on to other targets.Why so salty? Anyway we don’t get 1800, 1200 is our hardcore home crowd plus away and it’s average for this level I’m sure you’ll get use to it. You should be worried about your own club if you’re pulling in 5 x the crowd we are and still getting beat to signings, Martin Out has gone quiet since you won a handful of games at the backend of last season, not sure why as he didn’t want to put his hand in his pocket for this signing.
There's nothing stopping a club doing photos and video before the player signs on the dotted line, they just won't release the footage if the move doesn't happen, that seems to be what's happened here.What I am confused about is if Mussa has signed for Dagenham. Things like this happen. A few famous ones over the years was Robinho to Chelsea but signed for Man City and Nabil Fekir to Liverpool. Both were in their respective ‘new clubs’ training gear. Oh well, we’ll move in to next targetThere's nothing stopping a club doing photos and video before the player signs on the dotted line, they just won't release the footage if the move doesn't happen, that seems to be what's happened here.
