Alex Whittle still without a club, hope we’re sniffing about. We are a bit light on left sided defenders. Rate him a lot

Scott-Morriss in for Davies
Lomas in for Lopata/Gubbins
Miley in for Atkinson
Taylor in for Dunne
Mooney in for Dennis

Assuming Clifford re-signs that leaves only Neal’s minutes to replace plus 119 minutes of assorted sub appearances.

The loss of the others will be mainly noticed by the financial director because no matter what we may think of them they haven’t been in the management team’s plans since the new year and most of them were farmed out on loan.

1. Scott-Morriss in for Davies
2. Lomas in for Lopata/Gubbins
3. Miley in for Atkinson
4. Taylor in for Dunne
5. Mooney in for Dennis

I guess the question is how far forward this takes us. Does it for example trandsform us from 3rd worst (was it) goal tally in the league to a competitive level? How many more points per game?

1. Demi was ahead of Davies so key question is right now is S-M an upgrade on Demi (no-one can know at this point)
2. Again if it's parity that would be a good start - likely definitely behind Lopata but maybe ahead of Gubbins and again needs to be proven (potential definitely there but step up against better full time forwards will be bigger test)
3. I know you will say no brainer- lets say step forward although I've not see Miley play
4. Taylor for Dunne (I will be positive and say this proves an upgrade- certainly more legs and that we need in CM)
5. Well it depends on which Dennis. Vs the Dennis that is motivated probably a par and that would be a good outcome.

So at the moment I would say expectations should be realistic and lower play off places maybe realistic. But I think there will be 3 more signings and they will be key I think.

Possibly one thing to add is that our form since the new management took over in October was better than our final league position - we were on the fringe of the playoffs with that form, even taking into account the difficult first few games before new signings like Brunt and Lopata were made. We should be able to improve on that with these signings IMO.

Another might be that much better teams got promoted to the EFL than came down from its. While that’s true at the other end of the table too, I’m not sure York, Dorking etc will be anything like as strong as Stockport or Grimsby were.

I think we’re looking good to be in the top 7 all season. That’s put the mockers on it

So smithy you know!!! Surely a little new emoji is in order 🤔
This list is purely based on any multiple rumours (not wish lists) seen on here or across social media. I’ve not seen any multiple rumours mentioned anywhere that can therefore generate a new name or names to be included in the list.

If over the coming days/weeks multiple people/accounts across the web come out and actually say we are rumoured to be signing player x (Rather than I’d like to see us sign player x) then they can be added to the list. For instance we saw many solid rumours across all platforms regards Lomas, Mooney and the rest signing before they actually did. Hence why they appeared on the list and worked their way up the scale to completion.

That’s not to say some names mentioned on here or social media aren’t possible targets. Just that those names haven’t had multiple people/accounts actually claiming we are in for them, but are more wish list type mentions. The list would be a mile long if we went down that road!

If anyone sees any solid rumours then post them up 👍🏻
