Forgive me but over the course of 163 pages, I have lost sight of the overall picture. (And at times my will to live ..............)

We have signed 5 I believe. We have let a good few pursue careers at other clubs.

If all the players that have been offered contracts sign, what is the net "movement"?

And there is a feeling on here that perhaps another 3 players are required.

In terms of numbers, is that contary to the strategy of having a smaller, tighter squad?
Theres an excellent pinned post from Yorkshire Blue about contracts, which shows all the folks who left or were released and all the new signings. That offers the best single view of the squad size change. The first post on this thread is also constantly updated with what we know about new signings this year. Beyond the five already signed, we don’t know how many further new players are being targeted but from all we’ve heard I’d say your assessment of 3 further signings is probably about right.

I think a lot due to re-sign are youngsters, other than Cliffy, plus players like Wood are kind of on the cusp of being ready but not genuine first team competition IMO; could be wrong tho. So the other three we probably want ideally are direct competition for the first team or even better than what we currently have.

Josh Kelly would be an excellent signing. How we have come on leaps and bounds from the past few seasons with our recruitment.

I remember when the announcement was made that John Still had got a role with us I commented “too many chiefs, not enough Indians”. Mainly on the fact we got a load of staff in and few signings. Well turns out John Still and his team appear to be the MVPs and I know it’s early to say as we haven’t seen these lads play for us, but the quality and being able to poach excellent talent off the same league and the top talent from the league below speaks volumes.

As said by someone else we are focusing on players on the up! Not players on their way down.
