He was on trial with Spurs six months ago and league 1 clubs were sniffing around but nothing developed

We should go for him, even if it means giving ramsgate a nominal fee, and a percentage of a sell on claws in the future... I watched him loads of time and he better then all of southend strikers.. and will make southend the most money..... got skills like lua lua and Ben Siriki Dembélé

The 19-year-old was unfortunately released by Crystal Palace back in 2020, featuring in the FA Youth Cup for the Premier League outfit a few times, and was tipped to become a star at Selhurst Park, according to renowned Eagles podcaster HLTCO.

Nonetheless, things did not work out, and he is now starring for Isthmian League side Ramsgate, where he scored no fewer than 19 goals before the end of January, and recently bagged all four assists in a 4-0 win against Lancing.

The Latest: Tottenham move?

As per his manager Matt Longhurst (via Kent Online), Ajayi ‘could potentially’ move to North London at the end of the season, after a switch in January did not work out.

Should Tottenham sign Ajayi?

He has already trained in the Lilywhites’ academy, but a number of other teams are also watching his progress.

The Verdict: Exciting

While Ajayi is clearly not a signing to immediately improve the first XI, it should be exciting for the supporters to see the club already planning for the summer transfer window and years beyond.

START THE QUIZ!

Described as a ‘quick’ and ‘powerful’ player who ‘works hard off the ball’ by Longhurst (Kent Online), the Englishman can play off of both wings as well as up top (Transfermarkt), and so looks like someone who could eventually thrive under Antonio Conte in the first team with his versatility and eye for goal.

Nonetheless, THFC should look to get this deal done as soon as possible, given the competition for his signature.

RE
1. Scott-Morriss in for Davies
2. Lomas in for Lopata/Gubbins
3. Miley in for Atkinson
4. Taylor in for Dunne
5. Mooney in for Dennis

I guess the question is how far forward this takes us. Does it for example trandsform us from 3rd worst (was it) goal tally in the league to a competitive level? How many more points per game?

1. Demi was ahead of Davies so key question is right now is S-M an upgrade on Demi (no-one can know at this point)
2. Again if it's parity that would be a good start - likely definitely behind Lopata but maybe ahead of Gubbins and again needs to be proven (potential definitely there but step up against better full time forwards will be bigger test)
3. I know you will say no brainer- lets say step forward although I've not see Miley play
4. Taylor for Dunne (I will be positive and say this proves an upgrade- certainly more legs and that we need in CM)
5. Well it depends on which Dennis. Vs the Dennis that is motivated probably a par and that would be a good outcome.

So at the moment I would say expectations should be realistic and lower play off places maybe realistic. But I think there will be 3 more signings and they will be key I think.

That’s comparing it to the team from after December not to the team that started the season. Our form from then on was play-off contender form.

I’d be surprised if we’re signing 3 more key players. They are the players you earmark early in the process. I think we’re moving to the stage where we will be increasing depth. We may though add some quality loanees, although as we found out if they are any good we’ll only get them for half a season anyway.

Was Alex Reid the forward we were after?

Would seem to fit the bill of a forward with experience in the division.

If it was, he’s joined Solihull on loan instead.

We defiantly need another striker I am not a huge fan of Dalby, he is OK but only got 10 last year of which 2 were pens.
