4 4 f$#$&ing 2
Agree 100%4 4 2 makes a lot of sense to me - for how many seasons (back all the way to Phil Brown & even under Tilly at times) we have put round players in square pegs rather than changing the way we play?
I know, I know - not a popular point of view - but there it is.
Trouble is inconveniently most teams now play with three in CM. When we have tried it we usually get overrun.4 4 2 makes a lot of sense to me - for how many seasons (back all the way to Phil Brown & even under Tilly at times) we have put round players in square pegs rather than changing the way we play?

Just saved me from posting.Trouble is inconveniently most teams now play with three in CM. When we have tried it we usually get overrun.
Moot point as we work on and the whole team is set up to play 352- vanishingly small chance of us going 442. Gus or Wind will be RCB
You could be right. I stand to be corrected but didn't Gus play a couple of games last year at Right Centre Back ? Would say Wind is almost certainly going to start and it has to be better that he plays in his natural position. For the record I think kev will either go gus at rcb or wind...stick with 3 at the back.
Jason Demetriou played RCB for a few games last season. Did very well. You could be right. I stand to be corrected but didn't Gus play a couple of games last year at Right Centre Back ? Would say Wind is almost certainly going to start and it has to be better that he plays in his natural position.

It’s weird how almost all the pre match thread on here has been about our players missing, how weak we are going to be and how good the opposition are. I wonder if other message boards are the same.Dagenham put 7 passed Gateshead a couple of weeks back
Surely we can get a couple tomorrow :-)
Refreshing to see gates are holding up ( looking like another 6500 home support for tomorrow match at the Hall ) and Southend Supporters are been Patient and giving the team time to get going this season.

Years ago we’d just go from one match to the next without all the noise (as it’s called these days) and just turn up expectantly.
