Morton was - as far as I could see - the only one to walk over and apologise (not that I stuck around). Sorry to him if he’s reading and heard my colourful comments.
Dunno why but today really ****ed me off.

An embarrassing defeat and when leaving Roots Hall today I am not sure I have been quite so annoyed about the timing and manner of the goal. I will probably have nightmares and flashbacks with that whilst trying to sleep latter I just hope Bonne does as well.😡
 
Was listening to the first half then a few things came up. So just checking the result now.

Totally and utterly depressing.

Weve been through some **** over the last 30 years, but this along with our league position, abysmal playing style, **** recruitment, and squad of crap to average players is about as low as it gets.

He wasn’t great today (nobody was, tbf to him) but I’ve a lot of time for him fronting up like that

Tbf it wouldn’t be surprising, the refereeing team didn’t seem to have a clue what was going on half the time!

The fourth official struggled to even put the numbers in the board 😂
 
Other posters on here have pretty much summed up how me and her feel after watching that display, so I'm not going to repeat it all over again. What I will say is that is the last time I sit in the East. The whole of the first half I saw two thirds of **** all with the sun permanently in my eyes. That's my own fault for not taking the obligatory baseball cap, but it was still annoying, and my back ache is still hanging in there. I also tried very hard to believe that the Shrimpers in the North Stand out sang the Brickies, sadly I don't think they did, and the East Stand couldn't manage a combined chant if it bit them in the arse. All in all, match day experience - complete rubbish, game, seat and atmosphere.
 
I can’t be bothered to type the majority of my comments, just like how that poor excuse for a team couldn’t be bothered to put a shift in.

I’d be more than happy for Maher to go after that embarrassment. It was the perfect summary of us under him.

Honourable mention for Gubbins being by far the worst. Maher spent most of the game telling him what he needed to do, only for Gubbins to completely ignore him. Swans around like a Premier League footballer… I can assure him he is not.

I think the worst part of today is that the majority of them looked like they couldn’t give a **** about being knocked out, with a few of them (Taylor the first) attempting to make a swift exit down the tunnel…. They should hang their heads in shame tonight.

Bonne will get the pelters - and I can’t blame people - but we failed long before that moment.

Maher should hang his head in shame after that too. I thought the lineup was wrong, the formation was wrong & the subs were wrong.

Have we ever, ever lost a competitive game to a team this low before? Take nothing away from Sittingbourne. The team of butchers bakers and candlestick makers deserve their celebrations tonight. Go well lads.

As for Southend, you have been embarrassed today, which of course is bad enough, but you have embarrassed us too. We won’t stand for it.

Absolutely bang on N it’s been a fiasco on and off the pitch this last week or so,SUFC get a ****ing grip.
