Chris Phillips is clearly attending the wedding with Mohsni.
It's obvious and surprised nobody else can see that !
I'm not saying that there aren't plenty of legitimate reasons why he would be on holiday now. However, he seems to be about on twitter and writing for the Echo and so perhaps it's a working holiday - which makes sense because it's a busy time for the club and there's plenty of news to be leaked before the OS:winking:Jeez you could pick from a hundred different reasons why someone couldn't go on holiday a few weeks earlier. Maybe his missus couldn't get the time off work, maybe they got a good deal going a few weeks later. I'm sure he'd always aim to ensure he didn't miss a big story by being away but surely someone is covering for him.
Think CP gets a real hard time on here for just doing his job. Give the guy a break.

Ok fair enough. To be honest I thought the same thing when OBL said he was on holiday because he does seem very active online as you say.
And pboreham I just think he's doing what any journalist would do. He reports the good, the bad and the Mohsni. He's paid to give his opinion on things and I'd also hazard a guess that he's encouraged to promote the Echo stories via Twitter to push more papers.
All the talk of him undermining the club is IMO well wide of the mark. He's a massive SUFC fan and I think he enjoys being a source of inside info for our fanbase. Its not surprising that sometimes this causes issues with the club but I'd say thats always likely to happen in his line of work.
maybe he deserves a bit of a break at times.
Why is Chris Phillips saying on Twitter that he doesnt have permission - I even asked him outright if he had the clubs permission and he replied in typical CP style "WHY WOULD HE NOT HAVE THE CLUBS PERMISSION TO BE THERE!?!?!!?"
The exact text from Chris' tweet is;
"why would he have the club's permission not to be there?!"
Which I take as he DOESNT (or didnt) have the clubs permission to be there?
The answer to Chris' text above would be better something like;
I'm surprised Bils agent Chemico hasn't commented on this thread :smile:
A player who can contribute well in a number of positions should ease rather than cause selection problems.
Disciplinary problems ? Well he received just one solitary caution (whilst scoring 8 goals) in the second half of the season from the turn of the year.
Great player ? What a sad indictment of the club if we cannot fit a great, versatile player with a much improved disciplinary record into the squad.
During that same period Benyon picked up a yellow and a red whilst scoring 2 goals but I'm sure he fits in really well !
Assuming the Mohsni to Sheff Weds rumour is true, if selling a player to a club two divisions higher is a sad indictment, then most clubs in leagues one and two are sadly indicted
One of Mohsni's strengths is his versatility, which also is a weakness.
I think he is a great player to have and one of the few we have I have interest in watching (Hall and Eastwood the other two). The problem is I still dont know where Mohsni plays. He was playing wide left generally but whilst he made an impact quite often from that position, he isnt actually a very good wide player. Ive not been that impressed with him up front either.
His physical presence and unpredictability are great to have and he is great to have on the pitch but its hard to work out where exactly he should play, because at the moment its almost like having him just play where he wants. <Insert RVP song rip off here>
All players being fit Id have Corr/Estwood up front and Hall on one wing so that only really leaves left wing for him, and I would have thought Hurst was destined for there ?
So until Mohsni can claim a spot for himself I think he is going to be a contender to be sold.

Can't argue with that to be honest can you? The fact is he's a threat and a matchwinner due mainly to his ability in the air and good technical ability for a centre half. But he's too erratic to be trusted at the back and hasn't got the pace and tricks or final ball to be a regularly effective winger. Therefore for me he needs to be coached into being more disciplined at the back by controlling his temper and then you'd have one hell of a CB who can also fill in in other areas when required.
But seeing as we have a wealth of centre backs who are all capable at League Two level you do think a good offer could be taken for someone we struggle to place in the side.
