Sadlers Farm - seriously ? This is the best it can be managed ?

Ok so the next step of the work, the A13>tarpots slip road/bridge didnt open over the weekend due to the wet weather.

I understand the tarpots roadworks have been amended though so may be helping.

We shall see this evening if Friday was a one off (Im sure it was), whether it improves things, or whether it has no effect!

Last night 15 minute delay so it is a bit better.

Tip for anyone travelling A130S to Sadlers.

Last night the traffic in the left hand lane was about 5 times as long as on the right, and you cant change lanes as the lanes are either side of the central reservation. Cant say it will be the same tonight but you might want to use the right hand lane(by using the roundabout and not the slip road)

What is the knock on effect to the A127 during the rush hour these days? The last home game I flew round the M25, but crawled the entire length of the A127 and had to park the car and run. I made it into the ground just in time for kick off.

At the moment I am intending to take the afternoon off for the Crewe game just in case. Do you think I'll need to, or is the traffic a bit easier these days?

From Romford to the A130 would take 30 mins in usual times, leaving Romford at 4.20.
These days it is approx 50 so you need to allow a bit more just in case. I imagine that gets a whole load worse later on. If you get to the Basildon area after 5 add a bit more as the 5 oclock factories will all be on the road.
A12/A130/Battlesbridge/Watery Lane.Lower Road, Ashingdon/Rochford is a decent option.

Last night there was an accident on the A13 which made the A127 even worse, was stationary from Fortune of War.

Sadlers Farm should hopefully be much better within 4 or 5 weeks though so the end is hopefully in sight..

Well, last couple of days it's been carnage. Canvey Way and all roads heading from Thundersley/Hadleigh towards Sadlers absolutely chocka. They've taken out the double mini roundabout at Tarpots and made it one single one, which is just absolute chaos. Traffic along Rushbottom/Church has been queued all the way back to and past Manor Road lights. Took some of our staff on Canvey and hour and a half to get in to work yesterday morning. Conversely, the other half is on nights and it's only taking about an hour and a quarter to come through the other way!

I don't like that bridge. The blind summit means I can't take it at 407mph.

Tossers.

Actually if you do that you bypass the roundabout. Generally land in a field or someones roof though.

Did see the bridge is open and there are 3 lanes open now on the last part of the A13 so hope that makes a difference.

Clear as you like coming home tonight, fingers crossed opening that last bridge is making a massive impact.

Fortunately the season card prices have just been announced so that people still have something to moan about.

Good again tonight.

A13>A130 clear as a bell

A130 > Sadlers looked clear.

A13>Sadlers cars queueing back onto bridge. So not bad, hopefully improves as works complete.

But westbound A13 leading up to Sadlers still a hideous nightmare every morning, and it only takes one little thing for Benfleet/Canvey to become gridlocked. Yesterday you couldn't move in Thundersley around the middle of the day, the A13 was stationary....again. Later, I had to go and drop a birthday card off after work, and trying to get from the High Road across to Rushbottom Lane around half 4 was awful because people on the A13 going west block the roundabout at Tarpots as the A13 hardly moves. Still....14 days to go......

Bet obl is not a happy lady today, took me best part of 40mins to travel from woodside avenue along church road to tarpots. Having got through tarpots, sadlers was a doddle.

What worries me is that at the end of the day tarpots is still going to be a major headache.:'(
