Sadlers Farm - seriously ? This is the best it can be managed ?

It will be better when Tarpots is done, however itis always going to be a bottleneck.

I was surprised at the improvements over last weekend though so just goes to show how drastic things can change when they change something.

I wouldn't want to have been going towards sadlers from the A127 this morning, queuing right from the A1245 roundabout.

But westbound A13 leading up to Sadlers still a hideous nightmare every morning, and it only takes one little thing for Benfleet/Canvey to become gridlocked. Yesterday you couldn't move in Thundersley aroundthe middle of the day, the A13 was stationary....again. Later, I had to go and drop a birthday card off after work, and trying to get from the High Road across to Rushbottom Lane around half 4 was awful because people on the A13 going west block the roundabout at Tarpots as the A13 hardly moves. Still....14 days to go......

Probably due to people making stupid short journey's to deliver birthday cards etc. Why can't there people post them a day earlier and save the people who need to use the road all the hassle. Alternatively buy a push bike.:raspberry:

yeah was bad this morning, I go through any time between 6-30 and 7 and never have any traffic there, but this morning was tailed right back. I managed to squeeze through some bollards and did a U turn and went via PoundLane.

I was on my way home from work, it was one of the children from my daughter's "baby group" so I didn't have her mobile number only her mum's, and as it was her 18th it was appropriate to call in!!! :raspberry:

Besides which, have you seen the price of a stamp these days? :stunned:

This morning I left a bit earlier and while it was all queued back westbound, the eastbound carriageway was clear as a bell and as that was the direction I was going I wasn't affected....except by stupid people who block roads!

Went to buy stamps the other day. 60p?!!!! How much were they before?! I can't remember but that seems like a lot!

Think it must finally be improving, my flatmate has braved driving to work in Brentwood and so far last week he's got home about reasonable time each night and hasn't felt like killing people by the time he's in the front door.

The A127 seems to be getting lighter and I've been on the A130 a couple of times recently and not too bad. Once completed, it's going to be a matter of days before people can't remember what it looked like before.

By the look of it, going from A13 to A130 or the other way round, the Sadlers farm roundabout will be by-passed altogether which will make the flow down the Tarpots much lighter too.

They're getting the work done far too quickly now. Ridiculous. They should slow down, it is sunny after all, they might get too hot.

Could'nt believe my luck this morning, from church road/manor road lights sailed straight through tarpots, road seemed empty, am I the only one at work today?

Fingers crossed things will just get better from here on in and Ill have to find something else to moan about.

Can't find it on the Echo online but front page of the late edition today confirms what us locals all knew, that there is no chance of it being finished tomorrow! Apparently the direct link from the A130 south to the A13 west will have one lane open tomorrow(yeah, right, judging by the way it looked at half 4 this evening!). The traffic lights should come into effect on Monday but the roundabout can't be fully resurfaced for 4 weeks so the new date for completion is 23rd June. Always said it would be the last day of Spring, so just a few days out - my estimation is a lot more accurate than the Council's!

Everything looked to be ok flow wise apart from the approach to Sadlers from Benfleet, which was clogged back to Manor Road.

8.30am update!

Benfleet High Road backed up 200 yards from Tarpots.
Sadlers roundabout jammed up queueing to get onto A13 London bound, therefore.....
Canvey Way bunged up.
Southbound A130 queueing almost to Fairglen A127.
Eastbound A13 stuffed to Five Bells....

brilliant

Another deadline clearly not met then! I had a message from a friend quite early this morning to say the A13 westbound was queued back past Kents Hill Road. I know they've been working overnight over the weekend as I've heard them.

A127 was shocking this morning too.

The sliproad from Canvey towards London is of such simple construction - "shave off the corner, put tarmac down" -

Why the frig wasn't it done 6 months ago!!!!????

Because the road it connects to is changing I guess.

Things seem much better now, see they have the link road open from A130>A13 so roundabout can be bypassed now for those who dont go to Tarpots/Canvey.

Still a lot of work to be done though cant see it being completed for a month at least.

Went to the in-laws last night in Benfleet from Basildon down the A127 and up the A130 to Sadlers about 6.25

Straight through with no trouble whatsoever
