And the alternative is talking hair products. All credit to Ron on this one he gets a thumbs up for once. Cant help wondering about the bail money though did Ron tell the court about the warchest

They have been promised free sponsorship of the main stand at the new ground...
:hello:

I can just imagine Halls release like a scene out of Minder - with Ron leaning againt his Bentley, puffing on a cigar with his trilby at a jaunty angle.

If you have seen Rise Of The Foot Soldier I imagine it will be something similiar to the scene out of that, in the back of the limo involving cocaine and several naked prostitutes!

Me I'm imagining that Ryan has to stay with Ron, much like Andy Carroll did with Kevin Nolan.

Cue the joke @Ron&Ryan twitter account...

Glad the club has stood by hall and for those questioning his frame of mind, i'd want to be doing the one thing that takes my mind of going back to jail...and that's playing football.

OS

However, in closed chambers this morning Judge Christopher Mitchell granted bail to Hall's solicitors and Blues Chairman Ron Martin.

RM is such a guy that he is actually taking the wrap for one of the players offences, hence he's getting bailed too!

I'm no criminal law expert but generally speaking the criminal justice system wants to encourage people to keep their jobs if possible and, given that an essential part of Hall's job is travel, I would expect to see his bail conditions accommodating that travel.

Of course, the appeal is against the severity of the sentence. Even if he wins his appeal, he may well still go inside e.g he could get 10 weeks instead of the 20 originally imposed. Still good news though, obviously.

I think Hall needs to do himself a favour and sleep the whole journey to Morecambe. I doubt he got any sleep last night, and if he's being driven up by Ron, sleeping is better than the alternative!

You think Ron will expect Ryan to be his 'cleaner'?

EDIT: Damn you Pubey - guess I should have read to the end of the thread first...

If he wanted some "cleaning" action then he'd have been better off leaving the bail application and staying locked up. :winking:

I fear for the banter that he will receive! Updates from Granty's, Harry Crawford's, Blair Sturrock's and Mark Phillips' twitter feed to follow..

When was the last time Grant Tweeted? I've been following him for a couple of weeks now and haven't seen anything. (And is that something to do with the fact that when I look at the list of people i'm following, his name has a little grey padlock next to it?)

The last thing he tweeted was on the 2nd March

'@Crawford100 @MattPat35 @h3rdy_11 @TheMarkPhillips This Is A Joke....'

Don't know what that means, probably wages?

Uh oh... :omg:

Apart from being as thick as mince, Hall is a footballer, and therefore untouchable.
If I was jailed for any reason I would obviously forfeit my employment and be sacked. After all, I can't keep my side of the employment bargain can I? BUT a footballer can be convicted of drug possession; or failed drug tests; or assault; drunk driving: or even causing death by dangerous driving (Lee Hughes) - and still bounce back.
There are no morals in football - so no reason for Blues to do any different than stand by the charmer.

Why do people keep comparing this with what would happen to them? Football isn't a normal job. I doubt anyone here is of much tangible value to their employer. You can't be sold, you don't have transfer windows in which you can only be replaced permenantly.

Once Hall has done his time he should be entitled to get on with his life like anyone else would.
